We had a perfect day for a late season ride at Appleton OHV Park. It was awesome to rip with Chad and to have my first real experience with my Precision Elite Steering Damper! I slowly gained more confidence as the day went on and it felt great to have some solid seat time since my shoulder injury.

Sweet ride man! Just ordered a used precision stabilizer for my ltr 450 for a third of the price cant wait to try it out!

The rep told me if you fully harden the stabilizer then try to move the bars you should barely be able to turn them. If you try that after installing and it doesnt seem to have much resistance than it may be time for a rebuild. Thats after a couple hundred hours of use though so hopefully yours is gonna be good for awhile yet 👍Your gonna love how it changes your experience!

I had a black 450 like that one bored over to 97mm with a stage two cam 12.1 Wiseco piston and hmf exhaust with a carb off my other 2007 450. The radiator fan was seized up when I bought it and it had also been sprayed to death with nitrous. Rebuilt myself never fixed the fan and rode that baby hard with a higher revving rev box and all. I love my raptor and my trx700 but that 450 will always have a place in my heart along with the 07 450 (electric start).

Pete Hager yeah I love the quick revving light and nimble trx450’s. The only prob I ever had outta mine was I tore 5th gear out of my 07 and had to redo the tranny myself ended up snapping one of the shifting forks. Where I’m from we do a lot of wide open/highway riding. We ride trails too but not as much. I’ve had so many bikes growing up and my favorite has to be a 660 my lil bro adopted.It was an insane monster on top side. I built it with a 11.1 wiseco piston, stage two cam, and hmf full exhaust right in my back yard under a shade tree and straight raped my cousins raptor with a 5 or 4 mil crank (can’t remember), 12.1 piston, monster duals, and a stage three cam that was professionally built. My next bike will be a banshee simply because it’s the only bike I’ve never owned. My lil bro just bought a 2020 raptor and I’m already itching to crack the seal on that baby as well. Stay safe bro and ALWAYS keep that helmet I made that mistake back in 2014 and suffered permanent brain damage. It’s not worth it.

Hey Pete, I don't know if you're going to see this but I have a question for you I'm actually searching for a set of handlebars for my 450R. I'm trying to get a set where I can utilize the stock dash and also have a crossbar with a crossbar pad on them. I noticed that the guy with this 450R has the exact setup that I need. Is there anyway you can figure out what bars they are and what rise?

I'd like to see my 450R against Chad's. I have a stage 2 cam a 520cc big bore kit, and port and polished head. Exhaust is white bros with KN filter. I don't have the valves like his though. I'd be interested to see what difference that makes.

I think the Renegade is super capable. They're pretty powerful and I like how smooth they ride. They're very plus. If I were to have a sport utility I would pick it over the Scrambler!

I have a modded trx 450r and it's stupid fast when everything is good, but If I could do it all over again, I would have a 700 Raptor with stage one mods and done. Awesome dune and trail mix quad.

My Honda was idling a little high that day, when I got home that nite my air filter was really plugged up so i cleaned it and that took care of the high idle problem. Sometimes it's the little things you miss that cause problems. At least it was an easy fix

Pete what kind of bars, stem & clamp do you use? I feel like I need something taller for my Raptor, but not sure which way to go.

I have the Pro Taper Contour in the "ATV Mid" size. I also have protaper clamps for the oversized bars. I have them linked in my video description. I actually wanted to lower my handlebar height so they're about half the height of the factory Raptor bend. If you want taller bars most people would put an extended steering stem on. I've never looked into bar risers..

anyone know anything about elka shocks i have a 2004 kfx700 with full elka suspension front and rear shocks. I bought the quad and the front end sags a little and i bottom out sometimes and the rear is really stiff anyone have any suggestions on how to change that

The stabilizer helps a lot with arm pump! You can ride much more relaxed. I never have any thumb throttle issues so I haven't noticed anything with that. Precision also makes "anti-vibe" handlebar clamps that will help with arm pump as well!

My first motor was a dasa 500 cc big bore, this one is a CT 520 cc big bore with a different bottom end. This one (520) has about 4 hp more. I never got a torque number on my first motor.

I put a few parts on it before I even took it home. It's been a great quad. Sorry to hear your's broke down, I rarely read about people having engine problems so hopefully it's nothing too significant

@@PeteHager no its fine now because i replaced the old chain with a new one and added new tires for trails and it is extremly smoother than before and gas and oil keep coming out when i ride but go it fixed its all good now and i put the same color as your i just love red on the raptor 700 and i got a banshe 350 never lets me down
