Any time the engine bogs before revving up when the throttle is quickly opened wide from the idle position, it is almost always a problem transitioning from the primary jet to the main jet. The primary jet in usually the culprit, right behind a poorly adjusted fuel screw (4 strokes) or air screw (2 strokes). That mid body carb problem caused the same fuel transitioning symptom. Glad you found the problem. I never knew there was a mid body in that carb. Not 'till you showed it here. Thanks for another informative and entertaining video Joe.

2 crazy problems I had with an old Chevy Z24 was #1 little bugs had somehow got into the fuel injection rail when the previous owner or mechanic left the car apart probably outside in summer time overnight. I think the shop light attracted bugs that decided to hide in the fuel rail. He put car back together, the gasoline gradually hardened the bugs (little beetle like bugs) so they started floating around like corks, randomly/intermittently clogging the injectors causing the car to die. After a few hours the car would start right up & run fine for a few hours or days before getting clogged again. No one could find the problem so the car ended up at a small used car lot. I bought it for cheap, not knowing it had issues coz it ran fine on test drive. I went crazy trying to find the problem. By random dumb luck I discovered the bugs in the fuel rail. It literally needed the bugs worked out. #2 A blown blade fuse that even under a magnifying glass didn't appear to be blown. I went nuts trying to find the problem. Then more random dumb luck, I tried replacing the fuse just to see what would happen.

I remember I replaced the mid body gasket on a Keihin fcr carb for an ltz400 and I accidentally pinch mid body gasket and the quad would run like crap. I bought an eBay mid body gasket and they never fit perfect. I had to put mine in the freezer for a little then use grease to hold the gasket. But it was still a pain to get in
