Your Adrianna dress is gorgeous!! Love that color, and the shape is beautiful. That one definitely deserves to be counted as a proper make, not just a wearable muslin. I do also really see why you love your Meg dress so much. The fabric is so special, and it was perfect for the family photos. It's always great to see what garments bring joy because that's what it's all about!

I love watching your makes and your honest reviews. I LOVED your sense of humor in this video. Love the Wizard dress and snaps in the baggy body suit lol 😂😅😂

I loved watching the makes and hearing your reflections. Gotta remember myself to not be too picky and obsessed. I think that green dawson and skirt combo it perfect! Let's see do I have a favorite winter make? I guess it would have to be either the frida blouse which I tried for the first time and so was surprised at how much I liked it, or the azuki work pants as shorts I made for the hubby- I did all the bells and whistles so it was a LONG project with lots of fun details. just reading the other comments made me think about how I approach remaking fails - pretty much do the same - I take it apart and try again and rarely give up unless it ends up too small- I feel I always learn more and sometimes those end up as my most worn items. I also reuse the fabric from old makes that are perhaps not my best work and try to make them into newer things like camis so the fabric isn't wasted,. I also donate good items that are just not me. Funny how we spend good money on fabric but don't feel guilty about the monetary loss when that happens. I guess it is because the sewing was enjoyable itself so I got 50% of the value from it and just missing out on 'the wearing' isn't a total loss

Ooh I've had my eye on the Frida for a while now! So sweet that you went all out on the shorts for your partner! I think that's a good attitude to take about marking the enjoyment of the sewing process as part of he cost.

Hi Bri, you have certainly made some lovely clothes - my favourite is the dark green dress - wow. I also love the dark green tee teamed with the black and white skirt. Your comments about the dropped sleeve tees resonated with me as that style doesn’t suit me either. I thought the raglan style tee looked fab, so that is definitely a tried and true pattern for you. Thank you for your videos. 🌸

Thank you for sharing Bri Loving the green Dawson such a fab colour and the neckline is beautiful on you. Well done on your skirt! Acceptance in sewing is definitely where I started the journey. I remember so clearly and still wear a Reina blouse with a mistake. I love it more because of the change it meant- still redo stuff but not in a punitive way ( and watch how I talk to myself about it too) 😊

Put darts in red jumper. Pretty on. May be an easy fix.

It alread has princess seams that would be fairly simple to bring in. It's more that I don't know what size I'll be when it comes time to wear it again, so I'm gonna hold off for now!

Ugh! I hate having to purchase the expanded size range. I have done it tho.

Right! It seems so wrong! But I'm also not really interested in trying another bodysuit pattern when I know I like the construction on this one...ugh, probably just gotta go for it.

Hi, how about adding a diamond shaped wedge at the crotch of the pink overalls to add length in the rise? They look so adorable on you.
@brimichellemade Жыл бұрын
I hadn't thought of that. Bummer I don't have any leftover fabric!

@@brimichellemade I was going to mention something similar regarding the bodysuit. If you’re happy with the overall fit apart from it being to short at the back (as I understand it), you could slash and spread the back pattern piece horizontally and add a wedge which is wider in the middle and tapers out to nothing at the sides, this would add the length you need and save you the expense of buying the updated pattern 😊 You’d obviously have to figure out where it needs the extra length adding, is it the back, waist, hips, rise etc first though because if you add it in the wrong place it could mess up other areas and nobody needs all that!
@brimichellemade Жыл бұрын
@@rhonddalesley That’s a great idea. In most knit patterns I do t have to adjust for my high rounded back, but here it would definitely make a difference!

Did I miss a video about your nicks dress? Where can I read your blog post about it? I’ve got the pattern and some fabric, but now I’m worried I won’t like it 😬

It's in my February makes video, and the blog post is linked below with the Terracotta Viscose Crepe (I guess I should have labelled that differently). It's a nice pattern that was fun to make. The only con of the actually pattern is that if you're busty, I'd reccommend adding some length to the pattern to prevent the waistline getting pulled up. There's lots of ease in the width, but a fuller bust definietly also needs a bit of length.
