Really really looking forward to this. Most games end up as click fests and clicks per minute games while I am really drawn into the slower, more considered approach here, where strategy, logistics and positioning are more important than how many clicks you can franticly make. I also really like the logistic system where instead of a global pool you actual have to move materials where they need to go and protect them, opens up a lot of possibilities. And the smaller skirmish battles suit me far more than typical Deathball that you see in most strategy games. Subsribed!

This game is like star citizen but without the open beta prerelease. The dev is a perectionist that keeps getting enabled. The game was gonna come out 2 years ago, as hype and investment increased so did the delays. I fear this game will never come out.

The Dev has stated that modding the game beyond what is essentially a map editor/campaign editor things like Conversion mods and new assets would be difficult to say the least but he will consider it after its fully released.

i wonder if mothballing some ships will be a thing, finding yourself in a time of peace with a huge navy and either having to rebuild an entire navy in a flash at the worst possible time or sacrificing your economy to keeping them around can be a problem i found happens a lot in other games

I've heard of ships up to the size of Battle cruisers, would be sweet if in further DLC we got Battleships/Carriers/Dreadnaughts and the like. Really hope the research aspect of the game is extensive. Always loved RTS games like command and conquer and StarCraft but I honestly prefer playing the long game instead of individual missions in a campaign. This is definitely on game I'll get on release!

The dev said that carriers won’t be added because they aren’t viable since they would have to jump into range of enemy ships just to launch fighters however parasite fighters will be in game.

I wish there was 2nd faction or 3rd faction within the side/nation you play that you cant control. They are like AI and your countrymen or internal rival. You can take over build friendship or try to control from inside. RTS needs this

If you're speaking of the missile at 0:44 that was just a test he made a few years ago and is unlikely to be in the game since he's not a fan of 'superweapons' since those usually just make people go straight for them and beat the game handily because the AI has other priorities. If you're talking about the missiles from the Hano trailer, they aren't cluster munitions, but the fragments will at least cause paint damage if they're close enough.

This game has been high on my wishlist for along time but at the end of 2023 it will be coming off if the game doesn't release. I've grown tired of devs hyping their games years before launch and continuously re-doing things before the game is even in early access. If the game is close to release, hype it, otherwise I'm taking you off my list until it is close to release. I have a huge list of games on my list that are about to come off as they've been there forever.

I understand the frustration, but its only being improved with each delay. You'll end up playing it either way, you'll just have to be patient and enjoy it when it drops. First early access relese will ONLY be a single player mission or two as well, so even beyond that you'll be waiting for a skirmish/scenario creator mode even longer.

I've always been a bit taken aback by large scale RTS games that allow you to move the camera on all planes like a 3rd person action game. Would like to see more games that up the detail/beauty factor by restricting the camera to rotation, X and Y movement, and zoom. Shaders to give the illusion of curved planetary screens and space station screens with 3d models that are actually flatter than what the user thinks they're looking at.

If you look closely, there is a slight 'shimmer' around the ships when it collides with asteroids, which i believe in lore is some sort of futuristic reactive armor to alleviate damage from asteroid collisions.

Yo Jupitor, Multiplayer is something Todd will consider adding much further down the line, dependin on the success of release + interest in a multiplayer mode. Due to the nature of the game, physics, scale, intricacy... He says it will be tricky to make multiplayer well.

The game is quite slow paced in that regard, yes its real time, but the pacing will allow you to keep up. There is also a tactical pause/slow down you can use during action.
