This is the video that finally got me to pull off the foundation merge properly, so cheers for that!
@MoonlightCowboyGaming13 күн бұрын
That's great to hear! The foundation merge is tricky if you haven't done it confidently a few times. It's a bit tough to explain, because you really have to feel around for that "sweet spot" to grab and drag the foundation down to get it just right. I'm glad you found it helpful!
@FunklesАй бұрын
a WHOLE HOUR bro? You spoil us. I will say though, over the years I've been implementing more and more merges inspired by your many creations, to have it all in one place is just perfection.
@MoonlightCowboyGamingАй бұрын
This one took quite a while to get done. After I put out a poll to see if there was any interest in doing a Beginner's Guide, I spent a solid two weeks of free time deciding what should be in the video, then doing the tricks and editing the footage. I'm happy that you find my material so useful. You have been with the channel for a very long time. I really appreciate ask the support mate!

Love how this video brings all these techniques together in one place. Many I know and use regularly and theres a few I didnt know. But the best thing, is the ones ive used before and forgotten how to do because I havent used them in a while. Now rather than having to search a dozen different videos to find it, I'll just come here first.❤

Thank you Kanata! That was my goal, to have a one-stop shop for people to reference when building. I'm thrilled that you like the format. Thank you so much, it's so nice to see an amazing builder using my videos as a resource!

That was a whopper of a video Moonlight! I've been struggling with motivation to build for a while and I'm versed with most of building tricks but there was some inspiration in this so thank you. (Floating planted crops was a new one for me and I'm definitely gonna be using that!!) Great video, easy to understand and follow as always!
@MoonlightCowboyGamingАй бұрын
Thanks my friend! The floating crops was one that I learned a couple years back, but I forgot about it since I can't really use it for sky builds. My hope is that this video does two things. Help new builders and serve as a reference point for when someone asks a rudimentary question about camp building.

Great video. Thanks. Have you ever done under pinnings on porch sets? I tried today but the catwalk wouldn't attack to it.

Thanks. What you have to do is put underpinnings on a foundation, then remove the foundation and add the porch.

anyone know how to get the vw state rug i’ve grinded the mole miner event and can’t get the plan, i’ve had two vintage water cooler plans but still can’t seem to see the rug in anyone’s camp

It's a low drop rate. You might have better luck either trading for it, or having someone place it at your camp for you.

Should explain how to get underground in the first place before talking about "floating plants onto the counter" from down there.

Uh.... what the heck is the plantable foundation sitting on that you can just move it around like that? Soooooo many things in the video I'm sitting here wondering how did he even get that far?
@MoonlightCowboyGamingАй бұрын
Sorry for any confusion. I didn't quite know where to segment those bits, since I wanted to keep the floating item segments together for ease of search. Hopefully you were able to find the segment on how to get underground without too much trouble.

@@MoonlightCowboyGaming I just started playing about a month and a half ago and I'm just now at the point where I've got enough plans to start trying some of this stuff. So excited! But it's a pain to sift through the thousands of videos on KZbin looking for that golden moment that answers a specific issue. Maybe state that this is like... mid level building that assumes folks know the basics already? Or... Alternatively, you could explain step-by-step like we are 5 and call it building basics? I dunno. I realize it's hard to put things together into something cohesive when there's a world of knowledge involved. Thanks for trying, all effort spent on helping others is appreciated... even if we still questions, you seem happy to respond... thanks for that.
@MoonlightCowboyGamingАй бұрын
@whytchywooo Thanks for that mate. Honestly, that was pretty much the point of the video, just from a different viewpoint. I get asked a ton of questions about how to do this or how to do that. Most of these tricks are common knowledge by now or they have individual videos for each trick of there. My hope was to have a video where a newer builder could have one video to find most of those tricks. It would be more profitable for me to just make a video for each trick. But for me it's tedious to search for each YT video for each trick. For some, it's easier to just look up how to do each trick as needed. The other piece to this for me is that I have some insanely complex tutorials. Some of the questions that I get asked regarding them are more on the base-level of building knowledge. So in those cases, it's easier for me to just point to one video for most of those answers. That said, before I put out this video I put out a poll on my channel to see if people were interested in a video like this.. I was hesitant to really do a basic building tutorial because I felt that I was just regurgitating the same info that most builders that have been playing for a long time already know. But the poll showed lots of interest, so that's how this came about. Hopefully you were able to find something helpful in it.
@MoonlightCowboyGamingАй бұрын
@whytchywooo That is the Mine Car Planter. There are several plantable items that have been released along the way, but that one is my favorite for the sole reason that it is the biggest. Especially for the purposes of the trick I used in this video. Which is really the only way I use a planter as a planter in FO76. That sounds weird to say, but some Planters look better fir other purposes. For example, there is a large oval metal tub that can look really good as a laundry tub tucked under a table or merged into kitchen decor.
