I have a quad explosive prime LMG. It is a hungry hungry hippo and I use it primarily on scorched beasts where the high fire rate peppers them effectively. However, Earle Williams shakes it off easily. You go to war with what you've got, not what you want.

Honest to god, ive never ran out of flammer fuel. Im always at a net positive with 60k in my ammo box after one week of running the gun. Its extremely easy to maintain if you just pick up the ammo you get on kills.

For the flamers id suggest using the ammo convertor to make the fuel.

I personally think going around with scrounger perk and doing an ammo route is pretty good also. Can get 5k+ fuel easy especially if you go to Flooded City Center in Atlantic City

@Escobeats yea I haven't gone to Atlantic City yet. But yes, you are correct. Run around and save up the ammo and turn it into fuel and save on using oil. Which is a better option either way. I can't speak for Atlantic City, though, cause I haven't been there.

The 50. Cal lmg with Quad has 999 bullets in the mag, it is my favorite gun for any event to tag everything and with a good heavy weapon build you won’t need anti armor

I haven't managed to get a holy flamer yet as beasts of burden very rarely come up, I do however use a anti armour flamer which I use in the atlantic city boardwalk expedition, it absolutely wrecks and I never craft ammo as I get plenty back from the expedition.

Seriously I just tried multiple different heavy weapons, and all of them felt soo weak compared to my Holy Fire or Cremator. Like awful. I enjoyed the 50 cal machine gun, but the issue was the gun seemed to actually be effecting my health, I was constantly healing. I'll stick with current meta

Dude, I really don’t think it matters what kind of weapon it is if you want ammo don’t craft it. I mean you need a little bit to get started by just go to Atlantic City. The best one I found to do is the casino. Anything in the casino means lots of kill and everyone of them will give you back in most cases unless you’re just terrible. Will give you more ammo than you used to tech with the cremator I ran Atlantic City off to camp off the script machine for the day and I had 12,000 I mean an animal farm Atlantic City is an animal farm if you’re lucky and you get the one where you have to put the evidence in the back of the trucks And you got do you know what time we’re going on grab the last bag and then just kill showman and Luke showman kill showman and showman Branson repeat tell the timer about the run out throw the last bag and save bill and go on with the quest just keep loading because you’re getting like free timesdepending what kind of weapon and how good a shot you are you’re getting like three times back. It’s a gigantic phenomenal animal farm.

As a daily driver that doesn't ammo use it with the shredder. Only need the basher perk really for it and the rest of the perks mesh really well for heavy gunner anyway

I have a bloodied explosive -25 Vats minigun. It's still not great but its a lot of fun to use.

I politely disagree. A minigun with anti armor explosive or bloodied explosive legendary effects, depending on your build, is definitely a good weapon. I use them as mini boss killer (scorched beast, super mutant behemoth, mireluk queen) and during eviction notice against all those super mutants on both, my bloodied and my full health heavy gunner builds.
