once in fallout three when I went into that mart with the trap set up for it to explode after a bunch of boxes of ambraxio toppled over. Instead all the boxes bugged out and flew around the room avoiding the traps but one hit a cart in there and before I could react it hit the trigger and blew up.

I have heard of this hobo code since I was a child, I gotta say it sounds like its BS. It could be so old that NO hobo alive knows these codes....I was only homeless for 15 years and traveled half the USA hitch hiking....there is no hobo code, just like there is no hobopolis underground....at least here in the states...you must be talking about the code invented for the TV show.....now Train hoppers use codes....but those are only found near train tracks, tells when theres a pull pin, where theres danger of being shot.....basic things...

It's actually really easy to get all of them. Level up or give yourself a strong character, courier DLC will give you a great pistol and you can get to the end of the game, take all of the gold and leave. Go to Gun Runners and sell them, you'll have to wait a bit for them to get more caps, but you'll have enough money to go through the game with no problems!

Esther demonstrates why I love FNV modding but avoid anything with characters like the plague (except for AmericanWeirdo, but I typically find his mods kinda shooting-galleryish): FNV inflicts some STRICT limits on the player character's agency and the world is different from ours in not-so-subtle ways. FORCING the player character to go along with something will ALWAYS be a bad idea, especially if the only options are A) refuse to engage with the mod's content or B) intentionally do something that you know will kill hundreds of people in a completely avoidable way.
