It is a shame that the Legion side wasn't worked out as much as NCR or House. The Dialog is much shorter, the quests more simple and the number smaller.

That was the point of the Legion. They're backward savages and only values power. They only care about pleasing Ceasar. That's why Ceasar was devastated when Arcade died when you sold him to slavery. Because, I'm sure Arcade was the only person who can actually talk to him normally.

For those wondering Dead Sea is to hold his position to demoralise the NCR as mentioned but he’s not to take forlorn hope as that would warrant immediate retaliation the legions strength comes from their use of guerrilla tactics to harass NCR supply lines slowly weakening them before hoover dam

Never understood why the NCR sentries didn't stop you from entering Forlorn Hope like the Legion sentry at Nelson did. In most places, you can't just waltz into a military base - without having proper credentials, I'd figure that the NCR would be smart enough to do that especially in a front-line outpost like Forlorn Hope.

There's also so many camps you need to go during the game. That would be pretty boring, getting stopped at every camp. And ao the other hand, you get stopped while entering HELIOS, so they thought about that.

I always had the idea that the soldiers were slacking. And besides, as long as you aren't with the Legion you're helping the NCR anyway. Maybe not to victory, but atleast to their enemy's defeat, if you understand my point.

I understand that this quest's simplicity and short duration is a symptom of the Legion run being an unattended part of the development of the game, but they managed to implement it very well by turning it into a "hold my beer" moment. It's kind of hilarious, even.

If amyones interested in numbers, 2 counterbernia (squad/tent units) wouod be somewhere from 16 to 20 men. The ncr havibg twice that many means theyd have something among the lines of a platoon which is in the range of 3 squads +some small support unit.

I sided with the Legion in my first play through solely because it saw more action, but by the time I realized how horrible they were, the NCR had declared me a terrorist. So I had to force myself to go through the rest of the game until the second battle of Hoover Dam

@@farraca731 The game seems so incomplete, the world is almost empty, I feel like half the intended characters and quests are missing, the supposed armies feel like gangs, and the numerous CTDs and bugs I experienced, still love the game tho, its plot and characters, although I feel like Im hearing the five exact voices for the minor characters. The DLCs are awesome as well.

That's an example of how you lose about 3 quests if you massacre a NCR camp or outpost but only 1 or more if a Legion. I kinda don't care cuz Legion are crappy fascist doomed to fail, but man was my playthough with them a bore.

Well every faction in new vegas is doomed to fall when the things from the divide spread. NCR is already collapsing at the point the game takes place. House has big plans and dreams but they come off as a little grandious for what the wasteland folk can be expected to keep up with, and Yes Man vegas is a questionable venture henged on one possibly unaging after old world blues marauding murderous mailman who might get themselves killed doing something ridiculous any day.

@FC6-3.7 Caesar dying is not relevant to the legion failing its goal this is made clear by in game dialog. And again the legion is not fascistic totalitarian yes but definitely not fascistic, for one its conservative and secondly there is no national palingenesis or an ideal.

@@MisterCOM the legion is absolutely fascist, arguments to the contrary are cope on an incalculable scale. Caesar literally says he wants to conquer New Vegas to establish his Rome and in defeating the NCR, transform the legion from a ragtag band of tribals into a legitimate state. It's literally a narrative of national rebirth and renewal! The distinction that they're "conservative", not fascistic, is also bizzare. I am aware of the nuances in political theory, but this here reeks of more cope. Finally, the fact that the game designers chose Imperial Rome as the "inspiration" for the bad guys is enough to make it obvious. Was it not Mussolini, the original and arguably only 'fascist' in the pure sense of the word, who wanted to do literally the same thing?
