What makes the most sense in terms of getting a Fallout game soon is for inXile (the makers of Wasteland) to be working on at least a remake of the original Fallout. There’s so many Fallout fans who were just too young to experience Fallout 1 and 2 so remaking those games would be a great way to keep the Fallout train rolling while we’re on the long wait for Fallout 5.

Remakes are all that makes sense with InXile for now, they are in the middle of making a massive game.

This is just an example but what if a team like Undead Labs (after State of Decay 3) were to take on a Fallout project with their style of gameplay and had guidance from those 3 veteran studios..

For people actually worried about dragon’s plague. A tutorial will pop up the first time it is introduced in your world. Just chuck your pawns into water and re hire new pawns. Your own pawn will come back after touching a rift stone. I’ve also noticed my pawn will sometimes just bring up dragon’s plague immediately after hiring a new pawn. Chances are that new pawn is infected. If you sleep til morning at a camp, the dragon’s plague will transfer to a different pawn at camp.

My partner and I honestly watched an episode a day. So didn’t have an issue with it being all in one to. I don’t mind waiting a week for an episode, but I also like being able to watch as many as I wish over how many days it takes to watch the episodes.

I'm with Barrett. I like to gradually digest and soak in the show. Due to mini spoilers I ramped up my viewing on Thursday (episode 4-6) and finished the series today. I wish the bonus features were longer or a BTS doc drops. That would tie me over for a bit.

I would say Starfield taking 8 years is an outlier. It was the largest update/overhaul to the engine they have ever done, they were developing for the next gen hardware, it was a completely brand new IP, and the had to develop during the pandemic. If they aren’t modifying the engine for TES6 and aren’t developing for next gen, I could see 2026 at the earliest. I think 2028 actual release could be more realistic (possibly announced as 2027 with a delay to 28)

Most realistic fallout release to be soon, would be a remake. But the only remake I'd care to see would be of New Vegas xD I went back to that game and its just so old now, but so good

The binge vs weekly debate is so played out. I get it, it's great for content creators and can make a project last longer in the pop culture zeitgeist. If you want it to last longer get together with your crew and make plans to make it a weekly thing

I do understand why Blessing, Tim and Barrett want the weekly but i will say this. That is the minority when it comes to streaming especially, Fallout has already been leeeeagues more popular than Last of Us due to that being weekly. Last of Us weekly fell off on viewership with each week like all weekly shows usually do, it had other issues for sure being a HBO show so its a nightmare streaming wise. Batch releases do not work either going by Invincible, i think Amazon did it this way because it seems to be the best way especially for new titles. The week to week talk is very creator or hardcore centric, social media is so small compared to reality. I think Mike is very wrong about only the show creating a need for Fallout too, that game is bigger than people realise same with Elder Scrolls. Like top 20 sold games of all time level of sales.

If you don't want to get spoiled from binge release shows, then either watch it as soon as you can, or stay out of the damn social media posts that have any sort of reference to the show that you have yet to catch up on. I did it with much of Marvel and even much of Game of Thrones back then when I hadn't watched seasons 1-5 before I was able to catch up. It was so easy to tell my friends to shut up about it, and to stay away from posts. Even happens with gaming too, I still haven't beaten FFVII:Rebirth, but I have yet to get spoiled the ending.
