One card that absolutely belongs in this deck: CLOUDSTONE CURIO! It lets you bounce the original creatures (assuming they're also not artifacts), so you can offspring them again.

Some crazy stuff I've done with this deck: 5 solemn simulacrum ETBs (without Zinnia) thanks to Arthur, a restoration angel, and the luminous broodmoth Pumped the Devilish Valet from 1 power to 32 in a turn with the Jacked Rabbit Sacrificed a copy of the Selfless spirit to shield my board from a martial coup (then my dozen odd guys were free to strike at an empty board) This is my favorite commander deck by far.

at 25:46 they say that Combat Celebrant wants the Zinnia to be an 11/3 and swing twice. if you play it with its offspring cost you only need Zinnia to be a 7/3 to swing for lethal. Which, from experience, is very doable. even if your not going the token route

Another cool trick is Whitemane Lion. You cast it and offspring it. The original returns one of your creatures to your hand so you can recast it and offspring it again and then the token copy returns the original Lion to your hand.

while it sounds great on paper and might be fine for a table with lower power level, imo repeatedly paying 4 mana (2 for lion and 2 for offspring) just to bounce back to your hand one of your creature that you will still have to pay the cost of, sounds like it's far from being one of the best thing you could do. I feel like there are 200 cards I would want to add before doing this kind of very mana hungry "combo"

Panharmonicon is a must add and boss’s chauffeur has over performed every time I dropped it. I used them as blockers or got swept and ended up with 20+citizens then revive it put 20 more 1/1 counters on it

I built mine around artifacts & the artifact creatures that make artifacts cost 1 less. If you get two of them out like og one and the offspring then your offspring is free. I also put Cayth, Fames Mechanist in for more tokens and 1/1s.

So far I've been able to get Zinnia to an 8/3 with 1-power creatures; both offspring and not. Warren Warleader and Rapid Augmenter are great fun, especially when you get to offspring them - in the same vein with Agate Instigator, Molten Gatekeeper and Witty Roastmaster to ping multiple times per ETB

Having played with this deck for a bit I can actually say that junk winder is better than it gets credit for. Even if not fully discounted, it’s pretty easy to get that thing out with an offspring and shut down somebody’s entire board the next turn. Also underrated is selfless spirit. 4 mana to protect your entire board at any time, twice, and with no mana cost. Another commenter mentioned how well this pairs with martial coup (which I would choose to keep in the deck). Cannot tell you how many times selfless spirit has kept me in the game. Also, throwing in a few clone creatures (Spark Double) is pretty sweet. Throw in a Panharmonicon and you’re getting so many ETB triggers it’s almost not even worth keeping track of.

Whitemane Lion feels good in this deck. You cast it and pay for the offspring, you use the offspring ETB to bounce a creature that is either high value ETB or being targeted and then use the original whitemane to bounce him back to your hand also

If you have the budget for it, I really enjoy clones for this deck. The offspring token can copy a different creature, instantly doubling up an engine or copying an opponent's engine, or something like Mocking Doppelganger can give you two enormous threats while keeping your opponents' versions of those threats away from you

I’m considering adding Terror of the Peaks as my fourth Impact Tremors effect. I definitely included cards like Panharmonicon, and Virtue of Knowledge (I do also intend to add Elesh Norn, MOM when I get one) to get even more value from all the ETB triggers in the deck. I also added Cloudstone Curio as a way to bounce my actual creatures back to hand when their Token Offspring Enter so I can reuse them again later.

in my upgrade i added a couple cheap clones which always turn out super fun because you can copy two different things ! also even without intentionally making zinnia huge, they get +5/+0 or so pretty reliably without being a must kill so it lets you get a lot of damage in

Huge fan of Ajani, Nacatl Pariah in this deck. Offspringing him means you get to make an extra cat token, plus transform him immediately guaranteed without even losing one of the cats since he'll see the copy die to the legend rule. Bingo bango bongo start making more cats and blasting people for big damage

When I upgraded my Zinnia deck, I treated the two abilities separately. I added both nice creatures to offspring (like soul warden and brash taunter), but also added some legendaries that might be terrible offspring targets, but buff zinnia incredibly quickly and synergises really well with the rest of the deck (like Locust God), and the deck can absolutely run away with the game.

Brudiclad is such a blowout in this deck. If you offspring an illustrious wanderglyph you can turn ALL your tokens into wanderglyphs, and give everything X +2/+2 where X is your token count. I did something similar in my Tetzin deck and swept

HEY! I love tokens and doubling stuff, so as soon as i saw this deck i snapped it up and obsessed over tuning it for a few days. Def. recommend Ojer Taq, and Panharmonicon type effects (Mondrak for double tokens, Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines double ETB) but a few less obvious benefits are for other things that make tokens without Zinnia, because we're not running a ton of protection for them and they could get bolted out of cast range. i put in Skyclaive relic because when Kicked, it makes 2 token copies of itself upon ETB so in a ideal scenario (more likely in the the late game) you can double the ETB and get 4, or double the tokens and get 4 or both and end up with 8 token copies for 6 mana. the other tech I think no one has mentioned is Equilibrium 1BB for an enchantment that lets you pay 1 upon cast of a creature, to return a creature to owners hand. you can use this to flash in a bounce creature with offspring and return 3 attacking creatures to owners hand, or use it to target your creatures on the board when you cast and new creature so you can re-cast and re-offspring the one you picked up. also from the Warhammer 40K set there's a few cards with Squad ( when you cast it, pay x any number of times , when this creature enters, make copies of it equal to the number of times the squad cost was paid) so late game what you have ( Ultramarines Honour Guard) as a a normal 4MV 2/2 that buffs all your other creatures by +1/+1 now is for 8MV and gives you the original plus offspring copy AND a Squad copy WITH offspring copy, that is a 2/2 then instantly your whole board gets +4/+4 and each of them see each other and get +3/+3 so are 5/5 for the original and squad copy and 4/4 for the offspring. or another really good at is Serra Redeemer, 3WW for a 2/4 flying that says "Whenever another creature you control with power 2 or less enters, put two +1/+1 counters on that creature." with 2 on the board your 1/1 offspring get +4/+/4 and that's not including any other doubling effects. i have a decklist, but that's a little beyond what y'all asked about, but this is the direction i took it in.

Just won a game in a funny way. I had Zinnia on field. Inspiring leader as background. Used two offsprings to cast Agate Instigator. Then I already had two jack rabbits in field cause of offspring. There power was 8/8 and 8/9. Attacking with the rabbits creates bunnies equal to power. Which caused Agate to trigger. All that was using zero skill cause I literally fell into the win. Didn’t even realize all of that would happen 😅

I think Zinnia suffers from lacking green a good bit, wanting to spend two extra mana on nearly every creature you play is pretty mana hungry and Jeskai doesn't always have the best ramp and green is the color that has the most (creature spells you cast cost 1 less etc.) Effects. But what Jeskai does have is a TON of artifact synergy and things like affinity and artifact cost reducers run wild in those colors and means so the creature your offspring can even start to pay for future offsprings! Not to mention treasure just keeps getting better especially in red. So I think going an artifact creature route is the move ngl.

I want to congratulate Gavin and WOTC for balancing "Winota" with this new card here, "Arthur Merrigold knight". this is a balanced Winota. The creature you bring in doesn't get any protection and it's bounced to your hand after combat so you need to recast it. impact tremors should be a cheap card to add, assuming its not already in here. another fun include is Purphoros, God of the forge, but he is very expensive, but hey., if you have one already, he is good here.

Hot take: Pollywog Prodigy is not good in this deck. It's rarely going to evolve in this deck. It's much better in Ms. Bumbleflower, where you can actually buff it's power permanently without relying on evolve. Also...what the hell is Jimmy wearing on his arm??

Agreed, cut it from this deck. It generally just doesnt grow a lot. The copy does grow a bit more, because of 1 toughness. But it needs at least 2 power to even trigger in most casual commander games. And then it only triggers on 1-cost. If it was equal or less than its power I can see it maybe being alright. 🤷

I don’t think it’s even that good in Bumbleflower, tbh. Pollywog Prodigy reminds me a lot of Mystic Remora, where it scales pretty well with the power level of the pod. Low power games are going to feature bigger creatures, which will pump it, but it’s maybe going to draw 1-2 cards each rotation. Obviously that’s good, but it’ll probably just draw some removal. In high power games or even cEDH, getting it to 2 or 3 power means you’re going to be drawing off of basically every spell your opponents cast.

We're playing a league where we have to cut all humans from a BLC precon or build a deck from a randomly provided BLB/BLC legendary with no humans. I added Cayth, Brudiclad, Angel of Invention, Myr Battlesphere, Welcoming Vampire, and Crown of Gondor. The Boss's Chauffeur was nice board wipe protection and I ended up with 20 1/1 Citizens after a full wipe. Brudiclad can make ridiculous boards full of Agate Instigator/Angel of Invention/Selfless Spirit tokens. Double Angel of Invention really scared everyone at the table. Even though this looks to be the cheapest of the BLC precons, I think I'll often be enemy #1 this season.

Offspring costs do stack. You have to pay the original mana cost and both offspring costs but you can get two 1/1 token copies if you cast a creature with its own instance of offspring. You would have to pay a total of 4RR (1R mana cost + 1R natural offspring + 2 Zinnia offspring) to get two token copies of Agate Instigator.

Combat celebrant is a good card but it’s not a good fit here

I cut it too. Even with the infinite you have to give it evasion or swing at someone who can't block and kill it.

@@Mr_Casey12 You actually never need to swing with the one wearing the helm, it prints a copy that hasn't been exerted each combat.

What about Brudiclad? Make all of your tokens have haste, and then change all of your tokens into something like a pinger, and then deal a screwy amount of damage in one turn.

I've been debating Jeskai tokens between Kykar, Zinnia, and Cayth, so seeing Cayth in the cards to add section felt like a good confirmation that she is seen despite having a paltry showing on EDHRec

You can add Kykar and/or Cayth in Zinnia. I do think Kykar is not that great though in this. At least from what I have seen. 😅

@@dachivale5319 I feel like Zinnia and Cayth have way more interaction than Kykar with either of them. Like it seems that I could make a Zinnia deck and play with Cayth instead here and there, but Kykar needs a fully different build due to Zinnia/Cayth and Kykar wanting totally and literally opposite card types.

@@doors54 exactly that. Tried Kykar in the deck, it didnt seem that great. Sure a token sometimes when you play Swords to Plowshares or Path to Exile for example. But I think there are many generally better cards for a deck run by Zinnia. All 3 are good commanders though. ✌️

Getting an Offspring of Combat Celebrant means they can untap each other for infinite combats if they can survive. But they aren't going to survive.

Keep in mind that they can only exert themselves once each turn - "If Combat Celebrant hasn't been exerted this turn". So you could get three combats each turn, but not an infinite amount each turn.

All I'm going to say is, Combat Celebrant and Helm of the Host goes infinite. Zinnia is super sweet though.

I have played this deck and find it quite manaheavy. I would like Knight of the White Orchid eaven if there is one exactly like this. I also love esper sentinel and Charismatic Conqueror. it might make you a target tho. Also a removable card I think is Arthur. Its a nice card but dosent does exactly what zinnia wants to do. Also is brudiclad a monster in this deck.
