Join us every Thursday as we follow and share the story of this family of 5, leaving Hawaii to pursue their dream of overland travel! None of us could have prepared for what this year brought and the impact to this family was no exception. Join them as they take risks, pivot, and figure out how to spend their time on the road, overlanding and traveling in X Overland's full size Toyota Tundra.

I do not know why X Overland has only 241k subs... they are amazing and we are following our dreams as well in the only way we know how..... I had to stop watching this so Mrs 0 can sit and watch this series with me.... X-Overland we love all of you, found you when we lived in Hawaii, sold everything we owned as well to move to AZ to start our adventure, covid hit us as well, and we have no company backing like you all... We adapted, and we are back in the planning stages .... We look forward to watch the series...

Fantastic video. Love to see family living outside. I'm about to hit the road for a year after house sells with wife and three kids too. I'm leaving my career after 16 years as a firefighter and Swat medic to live again and take back my life. Pandemic has been exhausting and I'm now choosing family first. This video had helped with more inspiration. Going from GA to Montana to Mexico. We are excited. Love what your company does. Inspires! Cheers and God bless.

Seeing this now is surreal! when she said “day 247 of corona virus” i was like wow what a time skip. It didn’t even occur to me that it was a joke. It’s all flown by. On march 12th I totaled my Honda Civic so i called my boss the next day to let him know that I couldn’t come in and he told me that I didn’t have to worry everything was shut down. Since I was a junior in high school, I decided to work a tone of hours and now i have a 2003 4Runner with a tuff stuff alpha, a dometic cfx 75, a yeti 1000, and some solar. I’m completely prepared for the overland lifestyle now, but none of it would’ve happened with out corona. I guess for some people it stoped an adventure and for others it started one.

These family inspired trips are so fun to watch. My daughters and I get out during the summer a lot. These videos make a great way to keep my girls engaged in our door travel and exploration while the cold and snow limits our ability to get out. We love watching them as we wind down and get ready for bed. My 3 year old constantly says "oh, I want to go to that place, will you take me there?" My only reply is ABSOLUTELY! Can't wait to see the croft family adventures, I know my girls and I will be watch for sure! Keep up the great work, and thanks for keeping the inspiration coming!

Summer 2020, my partner and I were slated to go to Germany for 21 days. Watching the pure heartbreak and frustration of the door being shut still hurts. But you guys made great lemonade out of lemons. We tried to as well, building a small cabin for ourselves. We never made it to Germany but we did make it to Iceland. 2025, we're going to Chile and Argentina come hell or high water.

I’ve watched this whole series! This is by far my favorite. So emotional. I know these guys were scared and heartbroken. Thankfully my job allows me to do as I please and I’m going to binge watch the whole series again today! I remember back in 2017 we sold almost everything we owned and was going to move from Amory, Mississippi to Driggs, Idaho. Already had jobs waiting on us when we got there. Me my wife(who was pregnant) and 3 kids. Unfortunately/Fortunately the solar eclipse came through in August and the guy we was going to rent a house from back out because he could make more money for those few days than in 3 months off me. I was upset. That was the only place that we found to rent. I had already put in my two weeks at my current job. At this point I was scared and didn’t know what to do so we called it all off. We have been camping and adventuring all over the north Mississippi and west Alabama. We are going to build us a 6x10 square drop camper to accommodate 6(in case of severe weather but mainly sleep 4 kids) and start our journey into the Appalachian and ozarks. Thank you for motivation! You’ve inspired many people and will continue to do so!

been binging your videos for the last couple weeks. Yeah, I'm really late to the game. Crazy to relive 2020 and all that crazyness. Masking up to get groceries and having hand sanitizer everywhere. Heck, I remember even wiping down bottles with Clorox wipes in fear that the virus was on them. Me and my family caught the bug three times. Dad passed away during it (but not from it) and we couldn't even see him in the nursing home. Can't imagine the street that the Walthall's were feeling as their livelihood depended on travel.

Great stuff. Totally jealous. Question: in the 1st or 2nd episode there was reference made to topping off the diesel for the heater. What kind of heater are you using? I have been looking for some kind of a heater solution for our RTT. Thanks, happy trails.

Its a Webasto diesel heater that comes installed on the Patriot Campers. They work great!

One thing no one ever talks about and i am hoping you will respond to this message with is Vehicle Insurance. How does that work? who do you use when in the mainland USA? I contacted Geico regarding my 2nd gen sequoia build and was told if i went a head with it they would drop me... Even though i am ok with paying for for the additional equipment.

We use Progressive and are able to list built on items as 'permanently attached equipment' with a price for what its worth. Hope that helps!
