I received so much positive emotions, thank you!!!..Regarding Webasto issue: I don't know who told you Diesel webasto is good for high altitudes but I use a Petrol 4 kWt one successively in my camper without any problems in my country-Mongolia where the average altitude is 1500m.
@bert26a4 жыл бұрын
It's not the high altitude that caused the Webasto to freeze its the fuel quality and filtration combined with the cold weather. We use Webasto diesel fired engine pre-heaters on our construction equipment and if you don't treat the fuel and have freezing and thawing conditions you'll for sure have problems with it freezing up. There are a number of things that can be done to deal with frozen lines but whatever you do don't remove any fuel filters. For some reason in Canada and the U.S. we have poor quality diesel fuel.

Thought I saw them fill the spare tank with Cdn winter deisel but if you have residual summer deisel left in the heater it could gel, The whole north runs on deisel. Commercial vehicles often use two water filters in series and sometimes dip tanks with water sensor past on a dip stick to check for water contamination. Some stoves and heaters also have a fuel primer heater pipe to preheat the deisel for the flame jet but with a much shorter tank to point of use pipe. Esp at -50C. Yellow glases can help in the white out driving.
