Animals learn quickly to recognize when our actions indicate we are going on a TRIP. Their reactions to coming along vs. being left home are, of course, like night and day. It's wonderful when they can be included!

Many years ago, I was going to my (30-year) high school reunion in Florida. I invited my sister to go along, and she made plans to meet up with her best friend while down there. She told me that, the night before, their pup, Rudy, had kept climbing in the suitcase (it was weekender sized, and barely fit). Anyway, I picked her up, we had an uneventful flight, and got to the hotel just fine. As we unpacked, she suddenly realized that she was missing a blouse. She just KNEW she put it in. Well, she had the skirt, so we made a quick trip and she bought a replacement. That night, she called home and told her hubby what happened, and that she suspected Rudy might have done something. Hubby couldn't find anything shredded but, as he approached the dog's bed, saw something under the edge. Sure, enough, Rudy had taken it and gotten most of it hidden underneath his doggy bed. It wasn't torn or slobbered on (it was a delicate material), and it still had the tags attached. After that, the family always left the suitcases empty until the last minute to pack. I mean everything was gathered in one spot so, except the actual packing part, they were ready to go. Rudy wasn't happy that he got foiled, but he got over it fairly fast. 😂

I love to see this! I had 3 golden retrievers. They have all since passed over the rainbow bridge. I miss them so much! I took my pups on vacation with me so many times. We went camping, we went to the beach several times. Yes, it can be stressful, but when you see how happy the pups are, and you are. It is all so worth it! I have many happy memories from this time. I am so glad that I took a lot of photos and videos. 💕💕💕💕

We camp in a large tent and we take along 3 dogs, a Sheltie and 2 Whippets. I always pack them first because there are a lot of many necessary items especially their bed. It's been fun.

Wonderful family, strong pure loving bond....just like our three dogs, two 11yo one 3 yo, a vizsla, a dachshund and an Afghan...they live like royalty, and have a great life. Nice to see when dogs are happy and relaxed! The place was magical! ♥️🤍💚🇬🇧🫶🐾🐾🐾

Wonderful 👍. I always travelled with my dogs. Sometimes driving 2 thousand km for their comfort. I have the name of the hotel where I could stay at night. They were happy and me too ❤😂
