we were confused about this too so we asked nearby campers but no one had lost a puppy. Once we washed him we noticed that he did have fleas and ticks though, but healthy otherwise. I’m not sure how he came to be there but I’m grateful we found him and could give him a good life ❤ there are so many strays in Baja and I’m glad he didn’t become one of them

They're travel vloggers and I checked and they still have the dog, although it has grown up. People are mentioning that its weird they had a harness, but they weren't there alone so one of their friends may have had it. The dog shaking like it was cold or scared didn't seem fake and I doubt a group of women tortured the animal to make it shake. I am normally suspicious of animal rescue videos, but the fact this is their only one and they still have the animal seems more legit.

Hey Michelle! It’s actually a very real story. I’m one of the girls who found him out there in the desert. We would never do such a cruel thing for views, we love him with all of our heart and are so glad we found each other. Sadly, Baja Mexico has so many stray dogs everywhere so this is not a very rare scenario to find yourself in there. ❤️

Sarah and Tori !!! These ladies are awesome! And YES the stray dog was dumped in a remote area. I’m an animal activist is see videos a lot that are not true.. Not the case here! So don’t assume! I have followed these girls for a very long time. They have so much going for themselves, they don’t have time for BS. Quite frankly, for the most part they are transparent. Such open and warm personalities. I feel honored to witness their videos and hear about their thoughts on different subjects. They’ve inspired me. This is Sarah, the girl in the video! I am not sure how he came to be there, we asked so many nearby campers and looked around for a mom/puppies but didn’t find anything. Someone could have dumped him but I’m unsure - we did not hear a car come by that night. We didn’t stage the video, this is very real and happens often in Baja California (sadly). We were around a dozen friends who all witnessed the rescue and we are grateful one of our friends had a harness for their cat that we borrowed for the first day 💗 hope this helps clarify some of your questions!

They're fulltime vanlifers/nomads (they have a YT channel) and so were most of the friends they were traveling with. Several people in the group have pets, so it wouldn't have been that difficult finding enough supplies to get through the first night (you can tell from the video that the pink harness was an old/well used one). I'm pretty sure they took him to the vet and a pet store the following day.

I don't know, to me this video is blatantly fake, just seeking clout. What a coincidence that they found a dog and already had a perfectly fitting collar and harness. Did they also already have dog food? They brought a dog (which was relatively clean), placed it there, and then said, "Look, we found a dog!" I don't believe it.

The pink harness belongs to a cat of a couple that travels with them. That is why it is worn and slightly big, and after the first day of so, Cholla has his own proper fitting harness.

I am a dog person. I only have one dog who just turned 5 months old but I can tell you that I have multiple of every size dog collar leash and harness. That stuff is expensive and we tend to hang on to it so when our next dog comes we don't have to buy it or if someone needs one we have extra. We can share. A lot of these people actually live inside their van bus or mobile home. It's their house all of their stuff is there❤
