I have literally thousands of photos taken in Cave Hill. About a dozen of my ancestors are there, dating back to the 1870's, and we will be there also (but not soon I hope). I am familiar with all these gravesites but one and I do not remember seeing one of the elaborate ones and I know the whole place pretty well. I did a screenshot and when the offices open up again after this Covid-19 is over, I will take that in and ask where it is. The grounds are still open daily but offices, of course, are closed to the public. Thanks for a great presentation.

Also met The Coloneral one time all dressed in his white suit at my uncles ornamental iron shop i worked at from time to time and were outside showing him a wrought iron gazebo we had built and he lost a big diamond off of the top of his cane and we never found it in the grass he had called later and said maybe he lost it there we did do some work on his property tho his wife was a sweet lady.

As a native of Louisville, I think thisis one of the undervalued cultural assets to the city. I live in Atlanta now. We have Oakland and Westview Cemetaries here, but nothing to compare to the grandeur and majesty of Louisville's Cave Hill. If you are reading this and have not been to Louisville, I can tell you, this 12min video doesn't even give you HALF of the beauty of this place. You can literally get lost walking or driving and forget your self. It's a huge cemetary.

@@CashewPaul If you get the chance, check out Oakland and Westview in Atlanta. They are interesting too..with jokes. One grave has a man's TV and cane at Westview.
