After more than 20 years of playing guitar, I finally found the perfect fit: the Jazzmaster. First I got an Squier Made in Indonesia model (back in 2018), but now I'm the proud owner of a Miami Blue American Professional JM. I love it so much and I'm still 'floating in the air' for it 😍
@465marko Жыл бұрын
How do you find the difference between the two? I also have an Indonesian Squier JM (vintage modified) and I do like it - but there's a few too many screechy highs in there sometimes. I know, just turn the tone control down... which I'm starting to do. But after years of playing with full tone open always, it's hard to break that habit so I always feel like I'm something weird when I roll it back a bit. I've also got a Mexican HH Jaguar that's much more "reasonable" in that regard, when the coils are split. But maybe that's not a fair comparison. Anyway, I know that's not unusual for jazzmasters. But did you ever find that? And how do you find the sound of the Fender in general, just compared?
@Adam-hs1ft4 жыл бұрын

I bought a Jazzmaster for myself and one for my daughter also. Everything I play and hear has that surf or punk sound and everything she plays has the grunge/ doom sound. It's so fantastic what you can do with a JM if you put a couple of hours into trying out the switching and the pedal options (reverb for me and fuzz for her), you can find sounds and tones you never thought were possible on a six string guitar. Leo Fender was a damn genius who by any measure was always at least 20 years ahead of his time!

The unsung hero of the guitar world if you ask me. No one ever championed this guitar so it was way in the background far behind the Strat in my mind. Niche guitar for odd people.
