❤️❤️❤️ I must come and visit Poland 🇵🇱 I am second generation Pole and was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. All my grandparents were born in Poland and came to the states via Ellis Island. My parents also born and raised in Chicago. Thank God they instilled good morals and values and we kept numerous Polish traditions. You and Mike are now my FAVORITE You Tubers! Mike speaks Polish very well and you speak English very well too😊

Thank you both. Hate winter. Grew up in West Virginia. Now live in Flordia panhandle on a little bayou. Still gets cold here from Dec to end of Feb. Tolerable but when you get acclimated to 100°F in the summers, 30°F IS REALLY COLD. LOVE TGAT YOU ARE SGARING WITH US. 🙏🙏🙏💖💖💖

I completely understand why you live in Poland. My father and step mother were Polish and we visited every year or two from 1968. In that year, we witnessed the huge build up of Russian troops, tanks and aircraft all across Eastern Europe and were only 20km from the Czechoslovakian border during the invasion. The Poles have preserved their beautiful architectural heritage, they are blessed with beautiful mountains, forests and pasture and have a culture that respects hard work and education. Although born and raised in England, I have claimed my Polish citizenship and have dual nationality. I live in France at the moment but love Poland too.

I am Polish. I cook my great Aunts food that they taught me. They took me to Poland in 1980 when I was 15 to see where my great grandmother grew up. I want to go back. No one wants to go with me after the situation is over 😥

Had a little chuckle when I saw the sign for Columbus Coffee; wasn't sure that's what it said as you were walking to pick up lunch but after I was sure - I live in Columbus, Ohio! As mentioned before, it is good to hear Polish, my mama has been gone for 20 years and there is no one around to speak. I am trying to learn again as my plans are to do an ancestry tour in 2022; don't want to go on a group and hoping to find a driver/translator.

Hi I used to love getting paszteciki for breakfast when on business travel in Gdańsk. In Gdańsk they were more of a flakey pastry than a fried dough. Is that a regional difference?
@PolishYourKitchen
@PolishYourKitchen 3 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure it it's a regional difference as it is more of just a different way of making the pasztecik. similar fillings, just different pastry's. We find several kinds of pasztecik in my area and love them all! Thanks for watching!

That was lovely. Thank you. And you may complain about the amount of dough to filling in your food, but really, do you think McD or Harvey or A&W are any better? You have been away a long time. Especially when you consider price. Yow. That's what it's worth. The difference in pricing is paying for mega commercials. That's one thing you haven't mentioned. What is commercial tv like? What kind of programming and commercials are you seeing? Anyway, very enjoyable. Keep having a good time!

It does look colder than a witches tit out there!! Eastern European in winter weather reminds me of eastern North Dakota in winter weather!!! Looks like Fargo weather to me!! Brrrrrrr..... I want to say these pastries look kind of like corn dogs, but I'm sure they are completely different! Had you dunked them in ketchup and mustard., I might not have been so sure. Damn those do look tasty though!! $6.15? I could probably devour quite a few of those. Fascinating history! Beautiful castle. Between the Nazi's and the Russian Communists, so much history and national identity was destroyed! But anyways.... wonderful episode!! Keep them coming!! Take care!!

A question about the actual restaurant, was their more than one location for Pasztecik? I remember as a kid, that you used to be able to watch the paszteciki on like a Ferris wheel type contraption as they were cooked- this would have been in like '88-ish (I remember there was a curfew, so i think it was still during communist times) This exterior is exactly as I remember, the interior seems different
