A lot of great classic westerns in this list. The Anthony Mann/James Stewart films are as important to westerns as the John Ford/John Wayne ones, the Sergio Leone/Clint Eastwood ones, and the Budd Boetticher/Randolph Scott ones. Winchester '73 is one of my favorite movies of all time. And all of Audie Murphy's westerns have a special place in my heart.

Awesome list!!! Seen most of these movies at least once, will have to search out the others. Also, like watching James Stewart's movies and comparing his performances before WWII to when he returned from the war. Think his performances from after the war are some of his very best.

The film with Audie Murphy and James Stewart must have been fascinating to hear what they might have talked about when the cameras weren't rolling -- these two were World War Ii heroes. Stewart might have pulled rank, but Murphy was the most decorated of the War.

Wrangler: The Plainsman was a Paramount picture not a Universal picture ( although Universal owns it). I can tell you that with one exception Ex Bad Boy ( 1931) Jean Arthur never worked at Universal. I don’t recall Gary Cooper there either.

You need timestamps so we can see a list of the movies so we don’t have to have a pen and paper handy. Thanks.
