This was decent. I like FAM 1,4,5. Sound and selections put us over pretty easily to me. SC State has a solid sound and good numbers, but I heard most of this 5th quarter book when we saw them in 2021. I hope that their book can expand as the season progresses. For us, I'm looking forward to hearing the heavy hitter selections for A&M in terms of non-rap tunes. And improved last notes. The sound and execution is still waaaaay ahead of previous years at this stage of the season though

Okay, SCSU! Don’t get me wrong, they definitely took an L but their numbers and power are so much better. A little cleaning up by the end of the season and they are on the cusp. Between them and NCCU, there is some hope for the future of the MEAC (in addition to Norfolk)

That is a pretty lame topic. You should not lose your fundamentals. Bands you too always have about 4 marches to play in their book. Bands of this era only want to play forte, forgetting there’s a mezzo forte. Not all trumpets but most are terrible about over playing with bad notes. I wondering are kids still learning the basics.

FAMU has the MOST BORING 5th QTR, they need some Seasoning Salt, Slap Ya Mama just anything with some flavor. It's not even about blowing loud like the other SWAC Bands, it'll be nice just to see them let loose for once. Now they just sit there like robots and play, bring back some of the 80s & 90s FAMU you 5th QTRS.

I miss the scsu Bulldogs from back in the day😔. This new age scsu is to sloppy. 2007-2008 scsu was no joke. This was very sloppy. Famu sound good but fire the person that keeps on insisting a March 5th. It's the 5th for goodness sakes. Stop letting him do 5th and it's always the same conductor.
