Beautiful idea and the fabric choices are great too. Both examples of either two fabrics only, or more than two, are enticing. Many thanks, Jess

Absolutely Beautiful! I have looked and looked for placemats to suite my taste but have not found anything I'm happy with. As soon as I saw these, that was a HIT! It makes sense to have this shape with a long rectangle table, instead of square or circle ones. Thanks for sharing your talents and knowledge. I hope to be able to try my hand at these before you long. Thanks again : ))

Another excellent tutorial, thank you sew very much for all you do! What is a good batting for table runners and/or placemats? I was looking at the Hobbs Thermore Ultra Thin. Would you recommend this or another brand of low loft batting for table linens?

Does your Fan Shaped Place Mats video use this ruler Sew Very Easy Patchwork Ruler I see on Amazon - Sew Easy 10 Degree Wedge (22.5" x 4.9") Triangle Patchwork Quilting Ruler Measure Craft Circular Semi Designs Seam Allowance NL4185 or the Creative Grids 10 Degree 16" Triangle Quilting Ruler Template CGRT10 (which it looks like on the video with the picture of the ruler)? or is either OK? I wanted to get the right ruler to make those darling place mats.
