Hello Mack, PJ Edouard here. I've incorporated the cradle in my BJJ 2 weeks ago. My instructor allowed me to use wrestling profusely in my BJJ. I can hit this move even against upperbelts. Now this, there is no need to hit it and hold it for time, go for a guillotine or cobra choke for the finish.

@@tededo That great! I use the cradle from time to time. Whats a cobra choke?
My high school wrestling memories brought me here.

Was watching a shoot interview about the Paul Orndorrff and Tony Atlas fight and had no idea what a cradle was. Thanks for the explanation. Subbed

After you finish on top you should hook his leg with your left leg and spread your knees for 100% of control and balance

I was 6 when I learned all this lol. I'm 31 now and I feel like the wrestling world is still playing catch up.
@TheTyler7014 жыл бұрын
You r correct. I don’t know why people don’t hook that leg. Not only for control, but you can break a cradle with both legs working together. So if they step over, you lose that leg
@mattmartinez92714 жыл бұрын
Yes sir and your right about the Cradle. If someone will put you in a cradle you bring your free leg back, cross your ankles, and extend with both legs, Because simple math two legs are stronger than one. And what's crazy is that's even a big secret in the wrestling world and, between wrestlers. In other words most wrestlers don't know that one so I would say that you're very lucky to have learned that Tyler.
