Fanconi Anemia - Introduction

My son has been diagnosed with the "A" type Franconia he is awaiting a bone marrow transplant !! There is also a gene therapy trail starting but been waiting nearly a year for that to get up and running and there's no guarantee he would be offered a place

my nephew has the same problem as well, however he is not in the US. I hope my brother can find a solution for this god damn rare disease. I dont want to lose my nephew. :(

@@sinsinsinat5377 hi hun we are in the uk and thankfully he had a bone marrow transplant 4 years ago as they picked up early stages of leukaemia he was in Bristol children's hospital for a mth thankfully everything went well and he is doing great at the moment

My sister died at 16 from FA. It missed my next sis and I have it. I wasn't supposed to live passed 13. Here I am at 43.... Scared because I now have issues with health, diabetes, etc. Should I kill myself or somehow deal with it?
