They've got plans for a third movie, and even perhaps a crossover with the movie Freaky, which is by the same creative team and set in the same universe (well one of them I assume) Whether or not those movies ever actually get made is of course up in the air. I DO recommend Freaky if you liked the though.

This was a surprise change from horror slasher to sci-fi thriller and answered many of the questions in the first movie. It's hilarious and yet heartwarming.

The same writer/director made a slasher comedy like the 1st film (with a lot of gore though) after this film titled FREAKY. It’s a “Freaky Friday” body-swap slasher movie. It’s a blast, ya’ll would def enjoy it!

to properly explain when sissy misfired on tree's birthday it started the loop where everytime she died the day starts over where only tree knew and when she killed Lori the loop ended and started the next day with ryan and the alternative ryan got send to their universe trying to stop the loop and believed killing his other self was the only way to stop it so ryan started booting sissy up to stop the loop but miscalculated because he didn't know the right algorithm and not only restarted the first loop but send tree to an alternative timeline however through trail and error seeing what doesn't work tree pointed them to only one that would close the loop in every timeline and either keep tree in their dimension or back to her own as well as putting the alternative ryan back to his own so when tree went back it was all fixed where the loop was closed and everyone was sent back to their respective universe

Well be it good or bad, the director have publicly stated there will not be a third part. It was planned but has now being cancelled. At least at the moment.

Even more annoyingly the script is complete & ready, but it's the studio who pushed it aside for other movies they want made first. In fact the director made it sound like the studio wasn't interested at all in part 3 😒

Movie recommendation for you to react: The Outwaters (2023), film that was released earlier this year, and which is without a doubt one of the craziest and most bizarre Found Footage style films in cinema history! Worth a check.

Hey, if your looking for a new film series - not sure if I have recommended these before - there's Urban Legend and Urban Legend: Final Cut. Then there's the obvious I Know What You Did Last Summer and I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. But stay away from either of their third films, Urban Legend: Bloody Mary and I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer. Both of them were direct-to-DVD, and went from whodunit slashers to supernatural. Also, the movie Joy Ride with Paul Walker was amazing.

Definitely a very different movie than the first, a lot better and fun in many ways, but also very removed from the horror elements and the plot is kinda complete nonsense. Characters more enjoyable though, it was a riot watching Tree's montage of deaths. But I also can't help feel disappointed we couldn't see the Ryan perspective play out. Not only what happened to the double, but why was the double committing murder in the first place? The kills were only continuing the loop anyways, so it was just a surprise reveal that didn't bother to explain itself. As the movie went on I was honestly expecting Ryan to have to be sent to the prime universe and we'd watch that perspective at the end but nope we just don't get it. I wasn't huge on the first movie either but I would be down for a 3rd if it ever happens.

Both these films are crazy. I have seen now trailers for any of them and I saw these movies and I’m like, ok ima just lay back a bing some slasher films. BUT NAHHHHH, they had time shenanigans and multiverse stuff like it’s really out of place for a slasher film. Like bro I just wanted to watch a normal slasher film 😂💀and if they make a 3rd one than there are gonna make it an espionage thriller with government testing related stuff. Like simulation stuff. The sequel feels like it could set up a franchise. There could be spin offs for these films. But yea these movies are definitely pops because they did something I never thought a slasher film would take.

Despite my disdain for the film, I enjoy you two and your reactions, so I'm gonna sit through this with y'all anyway. You two make any reaction a blast. Now, I wanted to like this movie, but it just didn't live up to the original. It wasn't a horror film, it was sci-fi. Like what they did with the first Alien film and then the sequel Aliens - I'm one of the rare fans that can't stand Aliens. Actually, I almost hate it. I just found this movie confusing, and not scary. I appreciate that they wanted to answer the "why" or "how" of the previous film, but if it was the horror version of Groundhog Day, it wasn't really necessary. Not in this way. If it had been a sequel with this other character being killed just like Tree in the first one as a straight horror, and later reveal their science project had caused it... awesome - I would've given it ☆☆☆☆☆. I sure hope if there is a 3rd, it gets back to its roots.
