1905 French Globos matrices were issued on Pantophone

Thank you so much, how did you found this information ? I can confirm that the handwritten matrix style is quite similar as on Pantophone 1791 and on 1889. I was unable to find any relationship with Pantophone (exists 19 cm, 25 cm, 27 cm, and even 26 cm ! according to phonobase) & Globophon

@@misstoki IIRC several Pantophone pressings of Globos origin (or was it vice versa?) were sold in one of Andreas Schmauder's lists in recent year. The singer might have been Aumonier or Fournets, sorry no time to look the details up now. FWIW, the sound of your test reminds me of Pantophone more than anything else, and "1871" makes sense as a Pantophone matrix but not as a French Globos matrix (which are in a 3000 block). 1879 is confirmed as a Garde Républicaine Pantophone.

I found the more precise date of recording, it is mid-March 1905 (Wed 15 ? - NO LEDGERS) I found a Marston CD of reissue of French recordings (Nineteenth-Century French Baritones, Volume 1) which includes Pantophone 1863 & 1913. Pantophone 1863 was recorded on 1905.03.13 Mon and Pantophone 1913 recorded on 1905.03.20 Mon [date of recordings confirmed by spoken intro].
