One of the most beautiful guitar solo of all time. He really tells a story with his instrument, it drives you somewhere emotionally. . And don't forget the drumming, Billy Ficca is astonishing. i think thats because of a bias though, hear me out: fantano rarely reviews or talks about music from past decades, the majority of the time he is reviewing music that just came out. i'm pretty sure fantano probably knows and enjoys just as many obscure records from past decades as he does obscure records of today, it's just that because he reviews so much present day music we end up getting to hear his thoughts on all kinds of shit.
@jeansapplebottom92912 жыл бұрын
@@MagonTheConqueror Also could be due to people keeping up with albums in the modern day more than the old. A critic who reviews modern albums as his job will obviously be listening to 20 or so odd albums made each month now, so Fantano may have more time to find the newer hidden gems.

I’m surprised that David Bowie’s Station To Station didn’t make the list. The track list is solid from front to back, from the funky TVC15 and Golden Years to the mellow dramatic and emotional Wild As The Wind. The album is a TEN. Also, the Police’s Zenyatta Mondatta should make it on the tens list. It’s a smooth and gratifying listen, everywhere from the chill, spacious sounding Shadows In The Rain to the funky guitars on Canary In A Coal Mine. These are perfect albums. Frank Zappa's Overnite Sensation is one of a hell of a fusion album, every track is a beautifully produced gem... and as far as 10 out of 10 albums go, no Rolling Stones cut deserves it more than Sticky Fingers: amazing tunes, killer performances from Mick Taylor and the best Stones arrangements put to vinyl
