This author doesn't know the HP universe very well. You don't need 600 galleons per year even if you're spending every night in the Leaky Cauldron. Arthur Weasley, if I remember correctly, earns 100 galleons per month and can support his entire family of 9 plus his muggle technology fascination, and that includes school supplies for 4-5 children at once. One songle kid would need a maximum of 150/year, and that's if he spent the entire summer break in the Leaky Cauldron.

Ollivander is a manipulative bastatd in this one. He manages to pawn his failed creation off on the first orphan who can handle it by lying to him after trying 2 wands and saying none will work. Besides, thay firat wand wasn't too bad, so he probably could have talked to it and coaxed it into not being afraid. And MacGonagall was just as bad, supporting the con artist. People use non-perfect wands all the time.

Honestly, this fanfic is pretty bad. It seriously deviates from the actual charclacters' personalities. This should be tagged with Dark Mirror. With how disgusting Ollivander and MacGonagall are so far, and if the rest are as bar, then this AU deserves to be destroyed by Voldemort.

Yeah, pretty sure it is. Kinda disgusting, but I've seen some pretty bad racism in some of these Chinese-origin fanfics.
