Awesome! I have a Kawai MP11, Nord Stage 3, and now the Dexibell Vivo S7. I will have to say that the action is awesome and this new board will make waves in the industry.

The "noisy mechanism" I believe is a function of keyboard noise bleed through his mic. The piano voices are impressive. Maybe this is my next piano board coming off of a Nord Stage 3 Compact.

I have tried the H7 in my local store. Here are my thoughts: 1) Keys I didn't like them. Action is heavy and doesn't feel very realistic. This was a disappointment. The key action on my Casio PX-160 is a lot better and the Casio is about 5 times cheaper! They keys on my 8 year old Yamaha Clavinova are better too. 2) Piano Sounds Fantastic. Sounds incredibly realistic coming through the H7 inbuilt speakers. I mean, it really does sound like a real piano. Also has incredible dynamics. This combination of samples + computer generated sound is the future. 3) Speaker Quality Good but let down by the fact they can't use bigger ones due to this slimline nature of the design. I'd buy the H7 but I couldn't live with the key action, especially knowing my cheapo Casio is better in that respect.
@RayyMusik7 жыл бұрын
elsharkio Sorry, can't agree to 1) at all. The keybed is fantastic, rather light-weight compared to real grands, but providing a maximum dynamical range. Don't know the Casios but I had a Clavinova whose action was much more sticky and undefined than that of the H7/S7. After all, it's a matter of habituation.
@bojackhorseman53677 жыл бұрын
sounds like you tried the H3, rather than the H7. The speaker quality and keys leave a lot to be desired on the H3 - the H7 has a much more natural feeling keyboard and a much more powerful (and visibly larger) speaker housing mounted on the underside of the keyboard enclosure, which adds a significant amount of power and depth to the sound. The only negative thing I can really say about the H7 is that the speaker housing is almost a little bit too large for a slimline design and it's very easy to bump your knees against it while lifting off the pedals if you're sitting too close to it. But naturally, you can really hear the benefit of having it there, when comparing the H3 and H7 side by side.

Hello Bonners! Great review...very informative. However, through my little computer speakers the noise of the keybed is extreme. Could you tell us how you recorded the sound for this video? Also, this post is in 2018...anything different between this 2016 model in your video and the new 2018 S7 Stage? Thank you! ~Robert

Sounds pretty great but the keybed is too noisy thats why I sent back the Studiologic SL88 and it sounds like the same keybed.

It's not the same keybed. S7 uses tp/40, sl88 uses tp/100

hi, until I know the sound generation for piano sounds is more similar to Roland SuperNATURAL technology than to the one used in the V-Piano. The good in this piano is the samples quality and the algorithm used to return a the dynamic effect. Physis pianos use a generation from modeling algorithm as the V-Piano.

actually, fatar makes studiologic keyboards. fatar's keybeds are horrible compared to what you used to get in korgs/yamahas from the 80s, 90s and 2000s.
