I really hope that the Spähpanzer Luchs comes with its most important feature: its nearly completly silent engine. The engine was so silent, that warnings were given out during exercises and there were infantry no go zones, that infantrymen were not allowed to enter because the Luchs is so silent, that you couldn't hear it coming and they wanted to stop accidents before they could even happen. If you check videos online the only thing you can hear are the wheels moving across the ground and the engine is barely noticible. Also: turn radius of the Luchs was 12 Meters if you used all 8 wheels to turn, which makes the turn radius not larger than any modern normal car.

Every new Leopard erodes the game's diversity. Like an invasive species it supplants the indigenous tanks by virtue of being the best of them all until it becomes the only species left. And on the other spectrum Germany as a Tech Tree loses exclusivity. In 2 more years it will be teams of Leopards figthing against teams of Leopards with an occasional Abrams or T-90M sprinkled in as a rare spice.

That's what it means to export vehicles to other countries that do not have a good indigenous tank industry. I don't see why people are complaining because that is the reality of the world too. You think Poland has with its extensive military industrial complex, a single indigenous MBT? No, they use Leo 2s, might have a few T-80s sprinkled in there. There's no reason to add the NL branch of Leos to the German Tree because they're bog standard Leos, the only reason they're in the French Tree is likely to try and sprinkle some play-time from players into one of the most aborted tech trees in the game which really only the hardcore french fans will grind through.

@@HunterSteel29Here is the solution: do not add Polish tanks which are export. I mean seriously, if Ukraine gets added they would have the Challenger II, M1 Abrams, Leopard 2, and T-80s-T-72s. Just keep the original nations’ tanks and not add the exported ones to other nations. Simple as that. In all honesty, most of these are minor nations should just be made as part of a conglomerate tech tree or another main nation. That way you preserve the uniqueness of all nations.

@Redstoneprofi01 we only had four almost identical tanks at 12.0 adding two more isn't going to help. Your not going to spawn in 6 times in a game.... Being able to spot enemy tanks however would be extremely helpful, not to mention getting access to the recon drone. Light tanks are also cheaper to spawn in. Right now if you don't have enough points to spawn in other tank you have to spawn in as a spaa, while other nations could have spawned in a light tank......

They need to add Stug III for the fins already, it so dumb. It was the most used tank (its a tank, sush) by the finnish forces during ww2 and it could have some nice differences to the existing ones, like saukopf mantle and add on armor😩 Also, finnish ISU-152 would go really nicely with the KV-1 at 4.7

Most useless addition ever. Pzh 2000 would be a really interesting thing. btw it would be the most interesting piece of artillery and the strongest.

The reason why the 20mm vehicles keep getting moved around is because their top round is pretty decent, but their stock round is basically useless. The APCR can't penetrate lightly armored cars sometimes and does no damage. People will then complain and it'll get moved down, then others will complain because the APDS keeps killing everything. Instead of just fixing APCR and giving this specific one more penetration (which it's supposed to have I believe) they choose the hard way of wasting their own time.

It's interesting the Luchs A2 can swim in the game since the A2 variant lost its ability to swim on its own due to the additional weight from thermal equipment etc. and also isnt allowed to be used amphibious since an accident.

IIRC, it was still nominally amphibious, it was just found to be unsafe to use it in that capacity. Since self-preservation isn't necessary in a video game, it makes sense to have it still able to float.

The Skink should have ALWAYS been in the American tech tree considering the fact that Canadian vehicles derived from an american vehicle are in the AMERICAN tech tree, and german derived vehicles are in the GERMAN tech tree. the skink in the US tree is kind of a cop out imo it sucks in the british tree, since the 20mms are super low velocity for cannons, and i doubt it'll be any better in the US tree, and there's also still a 2.0 br gap between the M-163 and anything else tbh they couldve moved the duster up and given it Proximity rounds to make it more viable later on in the tree and i wouldve been happy

The Luchs A2 will 100% go up to 7.7. If not when this patch goes live, it'll be shortly afterward. And that goes double if Gaijin bothers to properly model the Luchs' famously quiet engine, which should make it far sneakier than a vehicle this tall has any business being. Since the Type 87 RCV (P) is already 7.7, and the Luchs A2 is pretty much just a better version in all respects other than forward speed. The Type 87 is 11km/h faster forward, but 78km/h slower in reverse. The Luchs A2 has 8-wheel steering, so it'll turn a lot better. They have the same gun with the same belts and the same rotation speed, but the Luchs A2 has significantly better gun depression and elevation. And the Type 87 has gunner and driver NVDs, but the Luchs A2 goes one better and has thermals.

No, never received such an upgrade, but it was surprisingly silent compared tae anything else on the battlefield, wonder if they will include that... they surprised our lads a lot of times during exercises in the 1980's

The Luchs was a recon vehicle that was not supposed to be in situations where they had to use anti tanks weaponry. Due to the very good soundproofed engine, the Luchs is so silent, that you can hear the wheels rolling on the ground and this is louder than the engine itself.

As expected, the BeNeLux implementation remains incredibly lazy. Between air and ground, the BeNeLux subtree so far has all of *one* vehicle that isn't a copy-paste. And that's absolutely *not* because of a *lack* of any unique vehicles that could've been added. Gaijin just couldn't be bothered.

F-18 will probably be in the December update. There are only one or two large updates per year and this is a smaller one. No way they’d add the hornet in a smaller update.
