These sound like fun and something I would enjoy. The first book of the series in on my TBR. FYI, it was entirely possible to play a half-orc paladin in the 3.5 edition of D&D rules. You know another book you might enjoy? Castle Roogna. It's got a giant spider! It has zombies! It has an invading Mundane army! It has Magician Murphy! (take a guess to his magical talent). Then, the next book in the series, Centaur Aisle, has a spelling bee!

Castle Roogna sounds awesome! I actually picked it up at my local used bookstore a few months ago and it's sitting on my TBR shelf. :) Soon!
