I actually find it fitting. He killed his newborn because he accepted his "fate" as the "father" of the souls/lambs/herd/w/e. That's why he always repeats that line "I am your father, and you are my children" The newborn wasn't his destiny, in his warped state of mind, the cult was. It's really twisted, I know, but I think that might be the reason why... it ties in with that moment of "clarity" he experienced before he made his choice.

Redbad of Frisia: Could be that big image giving away spoilers right out there. Some are really digging the story and don't want that part blurted out. I passed this moment earlier so I was not going in unknowing. But for others, I can imagine not being pleased with seeing this in their stream. Vaas had to adapt to the strict unforgiving rules of the jungle that made him the admirable adversary he was. Pagan wanted to revolutionize Kyrat, but his daughter's death and his loved one's departure made him lose his will to continue. They're not as bad as they seem. Joseph Seed on the other hand, killed his own daughter and took advantage of the fact that war was starting soon to force people to join his cult to escape the impending nuclear doom only to repopulate the destroyed land with his followers, all by choice, not because his destiny forced him to, but because he wanted to. It is unknown if Joseph actually belived all that religious stuff or if he just used it as a cover for his selfish plans, blame him or blame religion.

Mental health is actually the tie that binds all new Far Cry games. Joseph was unstable due to his abusive childhood and messed up brothers, his family was all he had, but it was falling apart and he couldn't save it, he thought he had finally escaped that turmoil when he met Faith (his wife, not the "Faith" in the game) and then this happens, in his darkest hour, his baby in agony, his wife dead, he unable to provide for his child, was once again given over to the voices in his head that led him to the evil he enacted on everyone else. Is he a bad person? Yes, but not because he's evil, because he's broken and unable to get the help he needs, so he makes bad choices that hurt himself and everyone around him. It eventually leads him to bury his family all over again. You might think he's the worst of the villains, but he's definitely the most tragic. Take that as you will.

I am a born again Christian and for the record I love this game cause it makes a fine line between cults and true Christians cause it has a pastor that fights with the good guys and I love the game to cause it is so cool how shows the way people can twist the gospel for evil so I respect the makers of the game how they made the cult look it is a very awesome and fun game and I would suggest it all my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ I give this game a 5 out of 5 this is the best game I have played in a long time 😊❤️🇺🇸😇
