Far Cry 6 Vaas: Insanity | Great Job Ubisoft

Far Cry 6 Vaas: Insanity is without a doubt in my mind one of the best things Ubisoft has put out recently. The DLC is not only extremely unique and creative with its gameplay system, but the deeper dive into Vaas and his psyche, and more of his backstory was incredible. This DLC really feels like a love letter to Far Cry 3 and I had an absolute blast learning more about one of the most iconic video game villains in Vaas Montenegro and what happened to him after Far Cry 3. This is a great start to these Far Cry 6 DLCs and I can't wait to play Pagan: Control next in January! Question why didn’t far cry 6 take a more cyberpunk 2077 route with its story telling and providing a lot more character interactions and development since both are first person rpg shooters kinda I felt like a lot of development could’ve been done outside of cutscenes with conversations with other characters taking place instead of being exposition heavy I really enjoyed far cry 6 in fact I’m playing it again with my friend and we’re having a blast but the story only seems to exist within the cutscenes and not outside of it

Playing this DLC was a treat for me. I’ve always liked Vaas as a villain but putting him as the protagonist and Micheal Mando reprising his role was amazing. I think i liked Vaas as the protagonist more than anyone in farcry. His one liners are usually funny to me but i really liked how they humanized him. There were moments where he had sentimental views like how different him and sister became once they grew up. the gameplay i enjoyed a lot. I’m not usually a fan of rogue lite gameplay and this was pretty much what it was but i enjoyed repeating everything even though it was a little frustrating. Great DLC

Ill be honest I have been struggling to like far cry 6 like I loved 5, but this dlc helped me to appreciate the new game mechanics a lot more because I felt like in the Vaas dlc there was more room for trail and error and proper exploring of the weapons and how they’re best used, and I found myself less overwhelmed without all the little fetch quests 6’s main story likes to bombard you with right off the bat and the whole fact that you, for lack of better terminology, had to push yourself to “get good” before you could really move on and actually collect the blade pieces without getting obliterated really helped me to learned what to expect when entering complex combat scenarios in this game.

That shows that writing is the most important thing in video games, every time in far cry franchise we play an adventure game to destroy the villian in the end without question as to who he is? and why? and in far cry 5 they focused on this theme of grey intentions of both sides while wanting to bring order, and i loved that your actions are not black and white. Yes far cry 5's point system of destroying something in a specific area were not the best decision but it really helped to see villian's perspective without too much pointless talking that were boring in previous games. I think that they haven't changed much of the story from original, but changed how story is presented, and expanded on villans origin

This is one of the best DLC I've played in a video game. I loved playing as all 3 villains and after completing them, I feel like I got to know and understand them more. Great job Ubisoft.

Willis on far cry 3 says he won't go into the jungle because you start to lose yourself then Jason starts losing himself which we see in the dlc love it
