FAR FROM HOME SPIDER-MAN STATUE by Iron Studios

They absolutely nailed it with the dynamic pose and sculpt of spiderman. The web slinger looks fantastic destroying and dodging those mechanical hover drones. The only problem I have is the coloring of the smoke creature hologram. It looks like dirt more than smoke. Every time I look at it, makes me think that he is fighting the Sandman. The light up feature is a nice touch and the one thing that saves the look of the base. Still the concept as a whole is amazing. It does show that great Spiderman's ability to think fast and move even faster to dodge incoming danger. Despite the bad coloring of the base I do give this piece a4/5 and congrats on the purchase.

I really love the light up feature😃 it adds to the over all sculpt. There is so much movement in this Spiderman statue, it really looks like he is flying through the air. Its definitely a standout in your collection and although it is a movie piece there is something about Spiderman that makes him pair nicely 😁🙌👏👏👏👏👏

I know we talked about it in another video. The concept is fantastic. There's still a lot to be desired. The light up feature is actually fantastic. That's probably the highlight of the whole thing for me. If you were going to keep it for a long time. I would actually love to see Mrs X do a bit of a repaint on certain parts. I think she could really make it pop even more!

This is why I tend to prefer museum poses so that the focus is on the character design and sculpt of the figure itself. Not too much base or nonsense, with a small footprint. Otherwise, these companies just get more and more dynamic even though it’s always the same character at the end of the day.

there's a lot of base on that statue. I'm not a fan of movie statues, but that one is nice. That statue has a cord for the lights so having it come on with your display lights should be pretty simple. You can go to Amazon and buy a remote control outlet. it plugs into your wall outlet. use that to feed a power strip, and plug all your lighting into that power strip. Leave all your lights on, and it should all operate on the remote for the outlet. I hope that solves your lighting problem. I love seeing the collection, keep it up

When I first saw this it did not look like an iron Studios statue. This is my first time seeing it and I think it looks just awesome. It's one of those statues from what I see in the review when you're away from it it looks great it's when you get close up and you see that it looks toyish that's what makes it bad especially for that kind of money. Especially when you think about other statues like Prime 1 Studios Venom cost what this does and that statue is not even in the same ballpark. I do like the pose and I do like the light-up feature and I think that truly makes the statue stand out. Enjoy

I appreciate the video and very honest review. My only reservation is the shipping cost from sideshow; $328 is a big time ouchy. So with tax I’m looking at almost $1,400.00. But, I do love Spider-Man and he’s my #1 Marvel character, and comic and this would be my first statue: go big or go home. Lol.

I think Iron Studios has been getting cheap with some of their statues. Like you said, a lot of plastic-y stuff, not only on that statue, but some other ones as well. Their Sentinel, for example. The broken wood from the door looks like snickers bars.

I have it too, just can say the parts fitted perfectly for me, just Took some time figuring it out . Also, one of the bullets you assembeld is facing the wrong way, one should Flow over the left leg. Otherwise it's the same for me, Spider-man has a lot better paint than the Rest of the statue, but no Deal breaker for me.

A very Fair review. I have this as well and love it, but it’s not perfect. I think you mean his right leg. The long one coming from the drones top right missile should fire-up between his right arm and right leg. The bent leg.

Yeah, it looks Amazing but the color they used for the smoke bothers me; I think it would've been better if it wasn't brown. Is the light-up feature battery operated then? If so, that's another ding, an AC Adapter would've been better I believe. Also, a lot of it really does look like plastic, but it's still a pretty Amazing statue though.
