If you read Amazon reviews this is the most common complaint - "It worked for XY months and now it doesn't shield anymore I can start the car without any problem" - many people say that. Maybe it would be worth a try to find out what's the reason. What happens to the pouch ?

@@telelaci2 That one is FLEXIBLE any metal will bend and BREAK over time. Since the protection is metal based. I suggest a box for at home it won't break. And something more rigid when away. And especially consider something for your credit cards with signals.
@telelaci22 жыл бұрын
@@suzannehartmann946Yes Suzanne, it's logical what you are saying. But actually the pouch form would be the practical portable solution, small and flexible easy to use. A rigid and heavy metal box is a bit clumsy in your pocket, that would be perfect at home on your shelf. I think the problem is the material. It's advertised as carbon-fiber fabric. Carbon is not metal, either the carbon fiber. It can have some shielding capability, but not as good as the metal and it's capability disappears with time (?) The reason and the details are unknown at the moment (probably what you are saying, micro-cracking, micro-breaks), but it's still a fact. They should use metal fiber, maybe it's not so easy to work with, not so easy to sew it, but it's a material you can buy just like carbon-fiber. And here comes the Chinese trumpery effect. The Chinese manufacturers are very flexible, very effective, very conceited, they will offer you the most clever or funny things to use, and they react very quickly to the demands. They just don't focus on the details and the quality, they will flood the market with the same cr*p trumpery. You can buy this pouch from 1000 merchants but all of them will be faulty, and you can't buy even one where they fixed this design flaw. Quantity wins over quality. Simply you can't find a good pouch in the sea of cr*p pouches. OK, but you need a really good quality pouch, because your car or credit card is expensive, aren't they.

I just bought the same one you used for the video. At first I thought it didn't work until I realized, as you mentioned, that the key goes inside the silver lined compartment. Works brilliantly. One question: since you have to take the key out to open and start your vehicle (or to close it), does that provide a nearby thief enough opportunity to scan your key, and steal your car?
@TheReviewFella3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. I'm glad it works for you. In my experience most of these thefts result from the amplification of the weak short range signal that your key always transmits. This is why this kind of theft happens so often outside your house at night. Your key is stationary, maybe sitting on a dining table, and the thief has all night to try and pick up the signal and amplify it. Much harder to do if you're with your vehicle or moving around, or far away from your vehicle. Most often done as a two man team. One working their way around your house trying to pick up and amplify the signal, the other next to the car with a device to pick the signal up. Keep it in the pouch when not in use (and any spares) and hopefully you will reduce your risk of theft. Hope that helps.

The dealer didn’t give me a lesson and I wasn’t through the manual yet!! Used the fob to lock the car at Walgreens. Was in the store 8 minutes (my car was up front next to the handicapped spot)it was already gone! Literally, they ran a stop sign nearly crashed into a neighbor who saw a man dressed in plain clothes but a ski mask on. So new I never heard of a faraday pouch either! I’m sick to my stomach.
