I think its up to voters to decide if they are happy with their MPs time given and quality of delivery. If they have a second job it must not take priority over their obligations as an MP. Other than that, as long as they do the equivalent at least of 37.5h a week with the usual holidays, its up to them if they do additional work, as many people do. What is not reasonable is to not be available to constituents or for parliamentary business whilst Parliament is in session.

I think the vast majority of people would rather there was a complete crackdown and full transparency on MPs and peers having the ability to influence and enforce policies which benefit their private investments or those belonging to family, friends or other associates. At a huge cost to the taxpayer in most instances. If you cannot purchase a Lotto ticket or win the lottery if a family member or friend works for the Camelot Group how, then, is it acceptable for any politician or peer to be able to earn money or crony favours from their trusted positions within Parliament?
