I love this recipe - it's simple to prepare and the bright, delicious flavors of fennel and shrimp blend perfectly. I also like to use a variety of different pasta shapes to make my dishes more interesting. Here I suggest using farfalle, that's the pasta that look like little bowties. Farfalle carry the sauce well and have an interesting texture. Blanching the fennel in the pasta water adds extra flavor to the pasta. You could also make this with scallops or shelled lobster meat instead.
