To all those viewing this video and thinking oh we should do the same and head down the lagoon and get some privacy while stepping on the “limestone” please DON’T. Please have some respect for their eco system by not wearing sunscreen which ruins the environment there and ONLY enter and exit the lagoon in the designated areas. Please understand that the reason why the water is both clear and so blue is because it hasn’t been tainted with the oil, dirt, and chemicals that we leave behind. Also, please do not take the wet sand while in Bacaret and use it as “mud bath” as that also ruins this beautiful ecosystem! It’s unfortunate that Ferris and Lisa chose to disrespect this natural habitat in that manner!

You shouldn't be walking on that limestone, right?

So far down in Mexico already? Wow, such crazy clear water, shame you don't have a tube to go down that canal, then again, how to get back? LOL. Can't believe so few people. What a gem in the rough.. rough rocks.. lol
@FarisandLisa2 жыл бұрын
So worth it! You can buy a tube but you gotta work a little for your ride. Definitely a spot to check out instead of Cancun!

This is a video that should have a warning of WHAT NOT TO DO IN LOS RAPIDOS. Absurd the lack of care stepping on the estromatolitos despite of all the signs warning this is something you can not do.
@FarisandLisa8 ай бұрын
Los Rapidos sets up the path for you to walk there with steps and signs saying this way. You should go there sometime and let them know.

I hope they don’t destroy this place. Mexico is a beautiful country the people are wonderful but they are so heavy handed with development /destruction of it’s natural beauty for the benefit of mass tourism. Beauty is fragile and once it’s gone it’s gone forever: places like Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Puerto Valharta ; all places destroyed by “development. Europe is much better in developing their treasures more sympathetically. I guess it’s comes down to taste and aesthetic and ecological awareness.
