I didn’t think I needed to say it because I felt this was obvious, you can turn off building destruction. However, if you are playing on someones server with building destruction mode on, you cannot control that.

If everything ends up destructible then building a land base will be pointless. Living on the water or an island will be the best options. Or just build a bunch of temp shelters and move about the island. I had 2 armsies show up at my base and they destroyed everything. Tried luring them away and they just kept turning back and attacking it. I think defensive walls should at the very least be much much harder to break, giving us time to mount a counter attack. Mutants show up and wiping out defenses in a matter of seconds isn't very realistic either. I now play with building destruction off which IMO kind of takes away from the game a bit. I want the danger of building in hostile territory but should at least be afforded a chance to defend it without using "exploits"..

I think this video is a good indicator if the developers are watching my videos. If it gets fixed, we will know. Which I will update this video if it does. I recommend the water collectors as walls. Build these on the beach, say 20 at each end. They won't be able to get into your base. They will end up standing there. Use your bow to get head shots. Turtle shells cannot be stored you can only carry one at a time. I am suffering from youtube burnout at the moment. I lost my voice doing the FAQ video, I recorded for an 80 minutes non stop and my voice was messed up afterwards. It's back to normal though it got to me a bit. I should be able to finish it soon.

Hey Farket, currently in the game there is a glitch that allows you to make a floating house. When you build 1 floor first and then build another into it the game considers the first floor supported. You can then destroy all the other supports.

It was in reference to the previous statement. That while we are away from our bases, walls and structures get damaged or destroyed. It has been happening a fair bit in my playthrough. Though you are correct about building destruction mode. This is another option.

Your Invariable Tree House could be Floating if you built the platform first then added flooring and the Tree House after. That's the only thing I can think of, because if you want a Floating Base. You will need to build 4 Platforms in a square pattern, then make a Custom Floor connecting to each Platform. After completing your Floor, you can then destroy all Platforms, leaving the Floor Floating in place. So, that's my thought on that. Take care and God bless.

Just like when virginas try to jump they hit an invisible wall, I believe there is some mechanic in the game that creates these barriers like the ones above targets. May also be why the base floats to. But I was playing on a friends save and he found a cheeky area near the respawn village where he built out a platform and tossed on a climbing rope, still hasn't lost his base to this day. I've tried bringing cannibals to the location but they just don't seem interested in jumping off the platform an if they fall of they die instantly.

The reason why the treehouse is invulnerable is because the block code for the targets go up all the way so it was holding the structure up. That's the reason the armies couldn't get through
