I had to go back in the Cog Hill time machine to see baby nugget helping with chores (who knew he'd one day be sitting on a nest of 16 eggs?) and to be reminded how the P.I.T.s were named. Loved seeing Tip snoozing on the swing while "Rock a bye Baby" played in the background. It was fun visiting Little Cog Hill again!

My Uncle had a injured wildlife sanctuary when i was growing up , he had heaps of emus and kangaroos , let me tell ya now , ole Nugget is going to get a lot quicker , they cant fly , but boy can they fly ,and you will hear her/him from their drum ...gung gung gung , probably dont want her pecking at that stage.

Had a friend in AR who had peafowl. Her peacocks shed their tail feathers in August. She had us spend a few days that month each year helping find & collect them up. She taught 'recalcitrant' teens English and she used them as rewards. Some of the students turned them into way-cool art that they gave her when they graduated her class. Wish i could share some of the pics of the pieces. Emu feathers are really cool, too. Each feather is double shafted & they can line them up or spread them out to help w/ being too hot or too cold.
