I'm just spending some of my Sabbath Rest watching your videos with delight. You have been Blessed with such a beautiful family. Where can I find the Amazon wish list for the children? I saw a few items for the homestead but not for the kiddos. Blessings to you and yours ❤️

Thank you for watching our videos Shelly! The lists for the children are to the left of the page from any list you click on. I'm not sure if you can see them on a mobile though. You may have to use a tablet or desktop to see all the individual links. Blessings to you and yours as well.❤

If you want to save some onions for late winter, slice and freeze them in quart bags. This is how I preserve mine because I don’t have a cold storage area. Works great for cooking!

I'm so exited for spring and all the gardenjng to be done! I'm also exited to see your homestead expand as your children build their own houses and then eventually get married and have children of their own. Then your homestead will eventually become a whole community of family and likeminded people. What you guys are doing is so wonderful and inspiring. I hope to live a life like yours when I grow up.

Oh man , seeing those bulbs blooming already for you down there … wow ! Here on our west central Manitoba farm we’ve been seeing some consistent minus 30s with windchills into the minus 40s overnights this last week . Spring is a long long ways away here yet . Continued blessings to you and your family . Thank you for sharing your lives with us !! 💕💕💕

You seem so knowledgeable about flowers/plants. Love to see the littles weeding their space.. also good to hear that fennel add flavor to soup. I do grow rosemary tho. I use with chicken dishes mostly. Always enjoy your videos, watching your hard working family.. blessings 😁

I'd be excited too with gorgeous blooms popping up. I love getting some surprises in the gardens so I don't write the seeds I just fill in gaps with. Surprise echinachea is coming up here at the moment. Yay. Abi is growing so quickly and she's so like Naomi that I thought this was a throwback video at first. Thank you for sharing lovelies ❤

We looked up the coop and I'm curious...and a little surprised. Why would you spend the money you got from your bull at the Grass Roots Farmer's Coop? At the website for the Grass Roots Farmer's Coop I saw one grass fed steak for $33, a Frenched rack of lamb for $60, grass fed NY Strip for $25, and even Flank steak & Skirt steak (normally cheap cuts of meat) for $30. Those are some hefty prices and they're not a restaurant that's cooking it for you and adding sides along with it and great atmosphere, too. Why not build a relationship and work directly with a local farmer and skip the middle man?

Good questions Terri. We do purchase direct if available and if we have the time to go pick it up. We very rarely purchase steaks, they are only for very special occasions. We stick to ground beef for the most part. Grass Roots Farmer's Co op does have a reward points system that helps bring the price down a bit and it's nice that they have done all the work to look into the practices of the farmers for us. In this season of our lives we are happy to support a good middle man.🙂

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with you. I was wondering who was playing the instrument! Spring is in the air there for sure. We are at -31 celsius today and just had about 8 inches of snow. I am definitely trying that sweet potato pie recipe. What a fun color. Soup looks yummy too! Blessings to you all!

Just wondering if you have garden snails and slugs as I'm feeling really disheartened as I struggle to keep anything alive in my garden like lettuce etc as the snails get to them before I do also i have cabbage moth everywhere and they attack my brassicas I will try to cover them more ,feeling very frustrated , I see a lot of beautiful vegetable gardens on you tube and I wonder if they are dealing with garden snails like me 🥺🤔 I have been subscribed for years on both of your Chanel's and I'm really trying to grow some fresh vegetables and greens for my family , I find my flowers and plants do fine it's just the veggies I'm struggling with 😔

That must be so frustrating. We don't have slug and snail problems here, probably because of all of our animal paddocks and yards around our garden spaces. Here is a video that may be helpful to you: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hJPJaHduZc9opdU Hope you find some tips that will help you get more veggies. Blessings to you.❤

Do you worry about the cats going potty in the garden beds? I remember my sister in law telling me her dr told her not to eat from gardens where cats go potty during her pregnancy.

No, it's not too late if you are in zone 6 like us. You can direct sow them outside or plant starts outside the last week of March. They can usually take a light frost, but would be best covered if frost is in the forecast. 🙂
