Very good 👍👍 FROM Bharath. ..

Love the series. We are using Lime based plaster in our interiors from a company in Los Angeles called Portola Paints, but its great to learn about more of the beneficial chemical properties.

Hi, thank you for this wonderfull video. I am from Mayapur, West Bengal. My family has a small land around 1500 sq.ft. land where we want to build a small apartment around 4 floors. Will you recommend stabilised rammed earth or CSEB for the walls. For foundation of the building, the only option I'm getting is with Rebar cement foundation. Are there any other options? Do you know anyone who can make CSEB or stabilised rammed earth here in locally or nearby?
@farmaanandaa11 ай бұрын
Hello, why dont you check with Smell of the earth farm - they are only ones I know of, who have a multi storey earth building in west bengal. You can google them for their contact information. Good luck!

Hello there! You all are doing a wonderful work to revive this beautiful sustainable practice. I am trying to use lime plaster on brick wall, what is the minimum time needed to slake Hydrated Lime before using it?
@farmaanandaa5 ай бұрын
I think it should be a month. You will be able to tell when the lumps break down completely and you get a nice thick creamy texture.
@Osama-AnwarАй бұрын
Why are walls so thick? Is it architectural design or is it necessary for the application of lime mortar to have thick walls?
@farmaanandaaАй бұрын
Our walls are made of rammed earth. They are load bearing walls, and that is why they are so thick.

Manisha ! Thanks for videos about Lime. What is different between " Slaked Lime " and " Fat Lime " ?
@farmaanandaa3 ай бұрын
I think fat like is a term coined by MLIME. It is pre hydrated lime available in bags. Slaked lime is what we get on site when we hydrate quick lime in a water tank

@@farmaanandaa Thanks
@muhammadmubeenislam3 ай бұрын
I believe fat lime is the same as slaked lime because when lime is slaked for longer time, it becomes pure lime which is termed as 'fat lime'

Can lime be used for elevated slabs in lieu of concrete?
@farmaanandaa28 күн бұрын
No, simply because lime is not compatible with rebars

Hello, thanks a lot for this valuable information. I’m building a small cottage using lime and i wanted to keep the exterior brick walls unplastered. Do you think i should add a hardening agent like ash in my bedding mix to prevent water damage on the bricks. Also, is traditional lime white wash water repellent?
@farmaanandaa7 ай бұрын
Not sure about the bedding mix, as the question is not very clear to me. Lime wash is not water repellant. Do watch the video on Lime wash in this playlist itself.
