Dang the bad luck. Yep, sometimes getting things to match up with the Farmall/International Fast Hitch can be a pain in the A$$. That Farmall 706 that we have has the fast hitch on it. If you look back thru my videos you'll see that it has the fast hitch adapter on it. Stay safe.

The prongs I have for my 300 are hooked similarly to a Quick Hitch. You back up close to the implement, lower the Fast Hitch slightly lower than the pins you're going to hook to and release the prongs and pull them back under the pins. Lift the FH, hooking the pins, flip the closers into place and pin them. Backup slightly so the prongs latch again, connect the top link and go.

You can also put the arms inside the quick hitch to gain room, or also get fast hitch to 3 point arms that are curved a little

If the quick hitch don't fit, it's time to quit. Yeah, that's a bunch of..... hey, wait a minute. I had an idea. You could try this: get a couple HD spacers that go where the 3PT balls are currently mounted on the QH & then run the bolt-on CAT 2 pins through the holes pointing in. Unless you're seeing something in person there that I'm missing on this side of the screen here. It just might work.

I love my quick hitch on my Deere. But i can only use it on a couple of implements. I would have to buy longer drive shafts for my brush hog, finish mower, roto tillers, but its great for my box blade. Guess i could buy some longer drive shafts.

We have a set for the 656 that have a bend in them because fast hitch width is exactly in between Cat1 and Cat2 width. Put them in with the bends to the inside, Cat1. Put them in with the bends to the outside, Cat2.

I have a fast hitch to 3 point adapter. I have a fast hitch that works on it, but haven't used it that way. I rigged a 3 point brush hog mower to work behind my 300. The adapter limits how much I can raise the mower though. The PTO shaft has limited space. I found a fast hitch brush hog mower this weekend.

Well the IH lesson of the day is the 56 series were an actual Cat II 3 point hitch where as those on the earlier 560-706 were still the actual IH Fast Hitch which was a bit different..... so I would look at some different arms to get the right width cause we use to run a Cat II forklift and roundbale spear with no problems on our 656

You need the International adapter. They have a curve in them. My brother found a set at an auction and gave four hundred dollars for them ,he uses them all the time on his 300,706,and 806 .

Dealership I work for recently traded for a 460 with those adapters . Didn't fit worth a hoot ! Would want to pull much more than a blade with them .

That's standard, it's a conversion of both cat I and cat II. Just made it easier to hook up implements of the various "sizes". Could've warned you about the "quick hitch" but, wanted viewers to see it for themselves. I tried this with my 706 back in the day, yup, wasn't happening. I did stay with the "after market" conversion arms I got from TSC though. Now, I do have to question the drawbar, yours looks a lot smaller than the one I had on my old 706, did they change the style and sizing of them between the '06 and '56 series? Great video, cheers :) You might check with TSC, if I remember correctly, there was an "offset" quick hitch style arm, that may allow you to still use the fast hitch.

It's completely not a welding job. They make quick hitches that are more narrow that will fit it perfectly and do the same job

The fast hitch is more like a solid yoke underneath, tis why when you move one side, the other is moving as well. At least from what I remember on my old 706

There are offset inserts I believe that will work for what you are trying to do.

Neat you were able to find those 3pt ends! Can you get a cat 1 to a cat 2 pin and stick the pins in the quick hitch from the inside? That would give you cat 2 ends on the inside of the quick hitch. Hope that made sense lol

Yea made sense, but the way the quick hitch is set up I'm not sure that would hold well with heavy 3 point implements. They do make arms that curve outwards that would fit

Weld bracket on the inside of the Quick-hitch so the Fast Hitch arm are on the inside of the U-frame and you have the problem solved. Had to do that myself and it works. Do a John Kenzebaum - "when it doubt - make it stout" Or if you are lucky you will catch it when it cracks if not you will have a huge train wreck.

By looking at your video, I think you can switch the attachment pins on your quick hitch to the inside. If so, it should make it narrow enough to work for you.

That puts all the pressure on the one side of the slot n it is very thin metal. Some of these category 2 impliments or heavy like 4 bottom old board plows.

A IH quick hitch would look quite nice but their stupid rare I’ve seen a couple on 1456’s and 1256’s if you look up Coy Winslow’s 1456 on google you’ll find one he has one on his super nice 1456 along with a 40 gallon belly mount fuel tank and a M&W oil pan

Why can’t you get longer pins, put the pin in from the outside, through both parts of the quick hitch, then through the 3 point lower links. 1086 is a cat 2/3. Cat 1 lower 7/8”, upper 3/4” Cat 2 lower 1&1/4”, upper 1” Cat 3 lower 1&1/2”? Upper 1&1/4” Hello from north east Montana.
