PB Blaster is some amazing stuff. I had some nut and bolts on my garden tractor that were not going to move. Sprayed them three times over three days with PB Blaster and they all broke loose easy as pie.

The new manifold is pristine and it will never be easier to paint it correctly - good surface prep, degreasing, even controlled initial heating to cure the paint. You are already leaning that way and if you don't it will annoy you forever.

I'm thinking a short extension on a ratchet would have kept it straight. That breaker made me cringe. Once you break it free work it back and forth to get the lube in. It's when you hear the nut squeaking you know the stud is going to soon break. A little heat does wonders also.

I think we should remember the fallen every day. It really concerns me that the younger generation hasn't and they embrace the very ideologies that the fallen fought against. I know this may scare you a bit, but I use my impact or impact driver to pull manifolds. I find you're actually more likely to twist a stud off with hand tools than an impact.
