I watched a video at lunchtime from France in which one farmer said the EU is planning to import 700,000 tons of beets from Ukraine this year and not only will that undercut the French farmers, but the farmer said Ukraine uses dodgy fertilisers that are banned in EU. It also went on to say they, the EU are following China to close down all small farms and make all farming land state owned.

same story in canada and the states. in canada farmers can no longer have road stalls on their property and are prohibited from selling directly to the consumer. oh and we have two cricket and meal worm factories at least , one in Moncton NB and one in London Ontario. and to top it off food chains have had to raise prices because the carbon tax taxed each interaction. the farmer sells his merch...tax, the purchaser..tax, the shipper...tax and then of course the good ole gst (vat) to round it off at the till.
