You have a lot of space to fill. Some would be tempted to fill it immediately. The result of that could be a HUGE waste of not just $, but energy and time as well. You could end up with a bunch of stuff you don't love!... The next thing you know is you have an attic full of "stuff" that was purchased just to fill the space. Consumerism is an easy thing to fall victim to... I know you picked through the attic and the sheds. You found some really cool things. I will probably comment a lot. Everything looks amazing! What a lovely old house brought back to her former glory instead of torn down and some modern monstrosity put in it's place. I hope you were able to get the locks working. An old soft brush and some oil probably cleaned them up nicely.

Beautifully done. You were very smart to have contractors come in and to the work for you. I did mine by hand with a hand sander! They turned out really beautiful but it was months before my back got back to normal! I'm in a very rural area and I couldn't get anyone to come out to do it. Your home is beautiful!

Your family is doing a beautiful job on this house. I've been binge watching the renovation videos and am super excited that you get to live there. Please keep doing lifestyle videos on the farm, garden, chickens and decor stuff as the reno winds down on the house. I wish it was this affordable to redo a gorgeous old home in Canada. Here it's not very feasible on this scale unless you have close to a mil or more.

Yes, my tomato plants have some blossoms already!! I can about a couple of cases of stuff each year. I make my own sugar free jam and a bushel of Fuji apples sugar free and about a bushel of tomatoes. I'm trying something new. I'm puttting a stem of basil in the jar before putting in the tomatoes, which this year I'm using San Marzano plum tomatoes. Are you going to make a little garden? Maybe some tomatoes and zucchini. have your dad plow up a spot bigger than you need and real deep. In the fall turn it over again and put chicken manure and leave it to freeze the bugs and stuff and aerate the ground. It'll take hard work and patience, but each year it will get better. Put down several layers of newspaper between and around the plants. It keep weed seeds from sprouting and makes great mulch.l Love Linda
