My entire house is painted with Sherwin Williams paint. Second home to paint with their paint. It is good. I also painted my wood cabinets with their paint. It was a paint that leveled itself when you painted with a brush so no brush marks. I love to paint. I've done it for so long--I've become very good at it finally. Very expensive paint but my employer gave us a large discount for Sherwin Williams. That helped.

Sounds like you have a lot more processes to go through when buying a house in the US. In the UK we view and buy through an estate agent and then the conveyancing is passed to a solicitor and that part can take up to 3 months. The mortgage approval can be done before hand. The only other part would be a surveyor for mortgage company.

That glass compote with the glass balls around the rim is from the 1940's. The style is Candlewick by Imperial Glass. I think the items would be more desirable if you'd paint the bottoms/backs of the pieces.....just my preference.

I’d paint them if they didn’t sell but they sell quickly so I prefer to not waste the paint on something that won’t be seen.

I had the experience of putting a metal handle onto a glass butter dish with E6000 and all was fine until I put the dish into the refrigerator and brought it to room temperature, the handle came off. So I believe extreme temps (hot or cold) is a factor in holding things together with E6000 So I will put it on again with E6000 but I will hand wash the butter dish from now on.

Hello😊 i will apologize for long message ahead of time...I just watched today’s Waste not Wednesday and now watching your Saturday night Live video I have literally been looking at the wood ducks on EBay and Amazon for the past hour or more.....this came on and I saw the white duck and had to mention I have 6 of them and have named for our family members( last name Drake) I’m looking for smaller ones for my grandchildren ...they are so cute and all have different little quirks that remind me of the person named for! I found some🙌🏻 Also if you sign up with Sherwin Williams to get their emails they have that 30% off often...I’m thinking every month? If different I will comment back ....and if you received those emails Zeb would see pink is the color now and for front doors! Lol they always show the color of the month and how to use indoors and out. I have seen at least 3 shades of pink in recent months! I love pink! My farmhouse is white and my door has been red forever....I’m painting mine pink....go for it Jamie!. Oh and we still haven’t done our kitchen and we have lived here for 21 years....so Friday going cabinet shopping....I am inpatient too and have been yiping about it forever....so I know what it is to wait! Just heard you mention floors....We looked at really nice oak random width hardwood floors and the estimate was 8 k😳 so I’m getting a Home DePot product and it’s a vinyl product 7 layers made well and comes in random width....estimate....$1000....it’s beautiful and easy to put down you should check it out...it’s called “lifeproof” and all 3 widths come in the same box 5,7,9 inch pieces....ok I’m done lol love watching you guys!🌟

When picking a shop to sell in, what do you suggest? I live in the mountains and have a few great thrift shops and marketplace and then upcycling. However, I am not sure if it is more beneficial to rent a booth close to my home (like a small tourist area) or if I should look into a flea market booth in the city that is a farther drive. What do you suggest?
@JamiRayVintage5 жыл бұрын
I would probably try both out, or at least talk to shop owners in both areas and find out how well things sell.

I have heard you and Zeb talk about paint leveling. What is that?

Some paints have a self leveler that helps them not show brush strokes. They essentially level out the highs and lows in the paint. Some paints do not have levelers.
