I am waiting for a 4wd option on the Safari. It's a must where I live, mountainous terrain with lots of bad to non-existent roads. It becomes especially difficult during monsoon when the terrain is muddy and unless you have a 4wd option on your car you can never be sure that your car won't get stuck somewhere.

One feature TATA haa faithfully carried over from the Land Rover origins is the driver seating and controls. I have heard of British testers complaining about the ' Italian Ape ' driving position of Ferraris. Tata has maintained the ' British T Rex' Driving position in Safari. It is designed for people with Huge legs and cute little arms. I am Five and a half foot South Indian, and I and totally uncomfortable in the Safari drivers seat. The steering wheel hits my stomach, while I can't reach the pedals. And I am not pot bellied.
