That auto dipper feature should be mandatory in every vehicle. Even in city everyone puts on high beam unnecessarily.

In this segment Indian OEM’s have kicked the butts of Korean(Hyundai) and Chinese(MG) oem’s and showed them how to make quality automobiles. Good to see Mahindra and TATA competing with each other to push limits. I’m just curious to see what updates TATA will bring to Safari in the next iteration to compete with Mahindra.

What happened to Tata in the export market? I quite liked the basic but durable Xenon ute that they previously offered in the Australian market. I would love for Tata to offer a decent pick up truck for the global markets. I wish the Indian brands were more present so that consumers don't have to look at Chinese brands to get value for money. Bring back the Xenon Tata!!!! At least Mahindra still offer the PikUp here.

I am happy to see that two Indian brands are competing with such great cars. I would personally go with XUV as i have a soft corner for M&M but no one can deny the merits of Tata as well.

Safari steering is hydraulic whereas xuv gets electronic type, Safari rear suspension is solid beam, whereas xuv gets multilink suspension, which transfers into better steering geometry with good ride, well engineered by mahindra, though Harrier has better road presence than xuv 5 seater

No matter what, XUV will out sell Safari due to better brand image, engine reliability, better service station experience and resale. Period Respect for Safari but past experience with it left a bitter taste

Finally! Thank you for showing the headlight spread, though not specifically. Please include this in your regular reviews. Sometimes the headlight spread and intensity becomes a deciding factor while buying a 4 wheeler. And none of the reviewers focus on this aspect. Great allrounded comparison on this one. Kudos!

clearly XUV 700 is the winner without an iota of doubt.. Tata safari has one serious ergonomic issue, the cockpit is not comfortable for someone of 5'10'' and above height. The knees hurt after sometime as it hits the edge of the dashboard in the center. a big no for some of 5'10 and above height..

Although that is again subjective as i am not that big fan of extended version of harried look. its priced even higher than xuv but getting less features leave alone the ride quality and comfort.. still if you have doubt about which car is better then may be you watch the comparison again or drive one yourself both the vehicles..

The Safari is a great car! But the XUV bettered it in almost every department. I'm sure, Tata is already on the job with updates to make it a more interesting fight.

The only thing that I like about safari is the presence, other than that it's all xuv700. Power, features, interior, suspension all points goes towards xuv700. So for me, it's the XUV that get's my vote.

Xuv interior only have big screen it uses cheap plastic Safari has better suspension Xuv have adas and power and safari has enough power with great mileage While xuv700 struggles to give decent mileage

Any time Safari even though it is less on features it has a good road presence Gold edition Xza+ is a good choice and has considerable features as well it really turns head specifically in that Black colour.

Safari has better ride comfort and quality In city xuv is better but on highway safari is better Safari has better mileage and 3rd row is more spacious Safari is rugged then xuv700 You dont have to think when potholes comes your way Safari only misses 4*4

You forgot the most important factor., timelines.. people need the car in a month.. not in 18.I believe the reviews going forward should include tentative delivery timelines as well.. makes it easier to choose the right vehicle..

Kudos to Mahindra for improving on their Achilles heel, the handling. Mahindra Scorpio, XUV500 handled awfully through curvy roads. Turns out Mahindra and Ford developed an awesome chassis.

Mahindra always omits rail mechanism for 2nd row. If 2nd row seats were fitted on rail , then 3rd row space could have been way too usable.

Excellent comparison. I loved the vdo a lot. Thank you XUV 700 's 3rd Row is a pain area but considering how often wil I use it .. and the 5star NCAP +ADAS security n USPs offered for my family n frnds' safety during drive I have to say XUV is a winner. Looks is a personal choice. At the end of day I will buy an SUV for fun and safety..

So that's it! The MAHINDRA XUV700 BEATS TATA SAFARI " FAIR AND SQUARE". In nearly all the features, Safety, Comfort, hitec and the price there is clear winner. Kudos to Anand Mahindra, he has risen the underdog Indian company to trump all his competitors both Indian and foreign. 💕👍👌💐

Tata needs to work on the Safari's Infotainment system. 8.8 is too small. ADAS is quite to early for India. its use will be very very minimal in India. you also need to speak about the waiting periods for the vehicles

Premium interior doesn't meant to have large dual digital screens, air purifier etc.if you didn't agree than go and compare XUV 700 interior with Mahindra's own Alturas G4. G4's interior is way better than XUV 700 's interior

The difference between Wants & Needs. Everyone wants an AWD. However, only a handful of customers buy one or actually know how to drive one. This was perfectly put up by Nikhil. Fabulous comparo as always. All the auto enthu cutlets were waiting for this comparison. Eagerly waiting for the improvements that the Harrier siblings can come with & that has to be a massive leap.

One thing is not compaired anywhere is term of availability.Xuv 70p has huge waiting with its first batch of production. Customers are receiving delivery dates of more then 6 months and upto one year. While safari booking and delivery time is 1 month. Many customers will go on safari including me

Safari is ❤️ According to me, Safari has a mascular , rugged suv type looks, where xuv 700 looks like a mpv.... ofcourse the front look of the xuv is attractive but it is not attractive from the back & side . Now both the cars have their own pros & cons. Only the customer's requirements will decide which one is good for him/her.

Harrier looks more serious from outside,the interior in this video looks nice...but tata need to ditch the old school huge bessel infotainment system from all their cars and should introduce new less bessel modern screen with new standard ui and nice touch response...i hate that screen on nexon ,altroz and harrier(that is on everything😂) ....also nexon should get the same meter console as that of harrier,instead of getting tiago's console...

Xuv700 95% -97% locally sourced car made in india purely 🇮🇳 whereas safari 62% sourced in india only , engine from fca , suspension from lotus , spare parts and electrical spa all from china , platform from JLR Would consider xuv700 anyday

Why cant tata, just fix the 3 issues that everyone talks about time and time again. 1. Electronic steering 2. bigger info screen with better user interface (i think the problem should be solved with better chips, which is not an expensive solution). 3. Better cams with 360 option.

Fiat multijet 2.0 under the hood of Safari is a 🔥 Much refined, smooth, fuel efficient and silent too. The torque converter automatic gearbox in Safari gets and edge over 700. Ofcourse the movable second row seats and third row seating, head room and theatre like view in Safari scores. However the loaded features makes 700 scores in those areas.

Mahindra seems more "made in India" Safari is using parts from other brands...platform, engine, suspension tuning, gearbox

The Safari is a better looking vehicle. The size and weight of the Safari warrants a 2.2/ 2.4 Litre engine especially for an Automatic version and should they introduce AWD model which is essential for a SUV....else the Innova is the car (MPV) to buy.

No. The old Safari has the better ride quality and comfort. The new one doesn't seem to quite live up to the name. Xuv700 Is better.
