Correction: Ryuko's outfit is NOT a 3-star, it's the equivalent of a 10-star. The show never calls it that, but that's what it is. It's based on percentage of a certain material called a 'life fiber' that gives the uniform its superpowers. One-star-uniforms are made of 10% life-fibers, two-stars are made of 20%, three-stars of 30%, and Ryuko's uniform is 100%. That's why it's alive and has a name as well, because life-fibers are living organisms.

Ima be real, this may not be an anime but the Library of Ruina 'fits are fucking drippy as hell. It's genuinely hard to but any of them in the lower tiers, they all got their 'fits on point yet all of them are seemingly extremely unique, I mean probably the most intimidating dude in that game, Baral, is just wearing a suit and a tie and yet he rocks that style so fucking hard. Might be the massive metal claw that can tear you to shreds that makes it good but still.

Speaking to the kind of show this is, you could do another episode on Kill la Kill no problem. Just get the money guy and Nudist Beach in there, and use the opening credits as a guide for the returning characters' missing outfits. And don't forget past Ragyo either! Both of 'em! Also, fortuitous of you to mention Neon Genesis Evangelion, because that's not just one of this show's inspirations, they share DNA. Studio Trigger spun out of Gainax, and I think their power balance has shifted enough that Trigger was able to acquire Gainax a few years back. Do your own research on that, though. Also, Satsuki always holds her sword, as well as her non-combat uniform, reference old-school Japanese military figures. Even if you're an officer not on the battlefield, you carry a sword. That's just how pretty much every country did things back in the day, not just in Japan. Displaying the sword prominently in your public appearances is more Japanese, as far as I know.
