How she thinks players pick their fashion: "I want to express my deepest thoughts and emotions through this particular armor because I think it conveys my innermost turmoil, while driving home my passion for this game and how I want to represent myself in it." How players actually pick their fashion: "This shiny. This purple. And I like the funny hat."
@randomuserame2 жыл бұрын
Well yes. Most people don't have an intimtate understanding their innermost subconscious self, and, to them, it just comes out as "ooh, shiny" or "ooh, purple". Colors and shapes have psychological and symbolic interpretations and meanings that, in many (but not all) cases, translates across language barriers, much like music can/does. It's more that certain things attract certain kinds of people, and literally thousands of years of data on what types of people pick what kinds of colors/symbols allows us to "reverse engineer" and work out the likely type of person based on their favorite color/symbols. So basically it's along the same lines of the thing where people have favorite colors, but they don't consider the psychological, historical, political, or social underpinnings of what each color means before picking a favorite, they just pick one that they like, and then the meaning behind it is usually pretty decent at revealing some inner psychological workings of that person based on their favorite color at the time.

Was skeptical about the "fashion expert" part the title at first, but she quickly won me over with her professionalism, she understood the implications the designs originally meant and read them as a whole when combined with pieces of different sets, no just looking at them to see if it looks good or not by our current tendencies, but what they are in the context of the game and the intentions and likes of the creators, moreover without knowing much about the game and it's conventions regarding gear. I loved this one, hope to see a sequel to this down the line.
