@@franzjoseph1837 not everything Europeans did was evil I hope you know and many of the regimes in Africa before colonization were tribal kingdoms. The nations you talked about were some of the exceptions to the rule of sub-Saharan Africa they are to be unique however, I will also point the Europeans didn't destroy any of those states they fell naturally.

There is a Reason why English european policy was always to avoid one continental power dominating the others. Also the French army was much larger than the British army at the time, including in the colonies so I think the occupation would have been the other way around.
